Six pitch inning is not what we needed. Especially against a guy who was having trouble throwing strikes.

 

It was a good job getting out of a 2nd and 3rd no out situation with only one run given up with the heart of the order up.

 

Straily is doing ok. We are stone cold in too much of our order these last couple of series.

34 strikes in the last 41 pitches for Bauer. He really settled down after the first.

 

Bauer's 100th K of the year. Tribe announcers just said they're the first team in MLB history to have 4 guys with 100 Ks before the All Star Break.

 

I had no idea what he was talking about and didn't want to ask.

 

Some folks aren't satisfied unless every player performs at a high level 100% of the time.

 

Gotta give Straily credit. He's pitched a nice game.

Hope he's got another inning in him, nobody throwing yet in the pen.

 

Hope HInch doesn't jump the gun and feel the need to put the pen in yet. Let him start the next inning at least. He hasn't thrown that many pitches.

Does Trevor Bauer remind anybody else of Appel? His body frame, delivery and pitch make up are very similar.

 

He was pitching well and had okay pitch count for this stage in game. But he fizzled fast to start this inning unfortunately. I would agree if the pen was more trust worthy lately but they have been less than stellar too recently.
