Morey didn't make those moves until after he talked to Bosh AFTER Lebron committed to Cleveland.

Then the report came that Miami had upped the offer to the full max and Bosh was returning to Miami.

Then Bosh's agent made a statement praising Morey.

    Seems pretty obvious what happened.

    not exactly

DJ gave a verbal agreement and then had a buyer's remorse, so to speak.

Cavs had a team option on Boozer,
who was coming off a great rookie season and convinced the Cavs owner to nullify that option on his rookie contract, which had called for a salary for a 2nd round pick,
so that he can sign a FA contract at market value commensurate w a NBA starter.

after the Cavs had officially nullified that option, Boozer instead signed w the Utah Jazz for a much higher salary

I mean, you can say the same thing about Beltran.

Bosh used Houston to get his offer increased. It doesn't mean he committed. He could've easily said "I'm leaning towards you guys" without committing, and Morey would've cleared the deck to make it happen on day 1 of free agency.

The evidence above doesn't make anything obvious about whether he committed or just said he was interested/more likely to go to Houston than not. Hell, he may have said "I'm coming to Houston unless Miami offers the max, and they said no last time."

I don't know how this will play out, but you must be kidding. Doc Rivers will wash DJ's car for a year--well, he'll enlist Austin to wash it--if DJ stays in LA. Otherwise, the Clippers are in free fall.

I really don't know where I want him to go now. It's best for Houston Rockets if he goes to Dallas. But....to watch Dan Fegan, Parsons, and Cuban eat **** for all this....just too good to pass up.

You are comparing Phx a team that has nothing to lose to the Rockets...a team that had Dwight and Harden.

Also, just look at how Morey deals. He doesn't just give up players for nothing unless he's clearing space. So then, if Morey is willing to do that then why didn't he clear up space for LMA this year then?

Also, remember how it went down. The Heat actually upped their offer just as LAC is doing now. "Things will be fine. We didn't even know you wanted more post touches! Lets talk this out."

It still doesn't matter though, he never signed. The biggest difference here is that players make verbal commitments public before signing anything.
