I don't think anyone is saying that the NBA will force Jordan to sign with Dallas. It is far more likely that there will be some sort of punishment.

Regardless, this is going to change how everything is done........ we may start see players not commit verbally or otherwise until 7/8/15.... which is just going to drag everything out longer.

Only good news for the rockets fans from this is that J. Smith is not likely going to join the Clippers.

Cool..I didn't know that you're an attorney. I am, too...and I thought maybe you were asking because you knew that.

I agree they could fine the Clippers...the same way they fined Cuban. But I have a hard time seeing that if Deandre truly contacted them first....what are they supposed to do?

I do not see how the league could FORCE Deandre to play for the Mavs if he doesn't want to. And I can't imagine the Mavs would really, truly want that to happen.

Sorry, you are right. I meant they have been making fun of the fact that CP3 has been vacationing with Lebron and Wade instead of being at the DJ meeting

so hard to police this stuff though, not sure how you would stop it. You can just deny the existence of the verbal agreement, and then sign immediately when the moratorium is up. It's even harder now that teams use players to recruit players. Not sure you can tell players not to talk to other players....

Will Wesley Matthews reverse his decision if Deandre does? Sacramento would still pay him but not at the same amount he turned down.

It's days like this that make the NBA really outshine any other sports league in the world. NFL could never approach this level of entertainment off the field.
