Meanwhile should convince Pierce to come re-unite with another Celtics legend here in Houston

In reality, Rockets caused all this. Beat both these teams in the playoffs causing internal doubt and strife amongst their players.

From what I've heard up here during all of the celebration that erupted from the announcement that DJ was coming to Dallas, Cuban and the Mavs were stroking Dan Fegan long before this summer. The drafting of Singh was one such "favor" they allegedly did to get into Fegan's good graces. With Parsons behind the scenes pulling a LeBron, Wade recruiting pitch, Cuban was convinced that he had DJ's agent onboard due to the various favors he'd done for him over the years and hence DJ himself. Looks like it may have all blown up in his face - time will tell...at midnight tonight.

Somehow, someway, Morey will use this to get CP3 to request a trade to the Houston Rockets tomorrow.

He gave an oral commitment to the Mavericks and the several teams made moves based on the commitment made by Jordan.

It is not in the best interest of the NBA to have players make commitments and then back out. It isn't a matter of whether it is legal or not, it is a matter of what is in the best interest of the NBA.

You saw the fall out from the original Chris Paul deal to the Lakers, and the league stepped in.

Granted there is a new sheriff in town, and no longer Stern but I do believe that the league will have to do something.

Further, you better believe that Jordan's agent is going to push hard for Jordan to remain in Dallas.

This is a two way street. How about if the Rockets right now decided they don't want to sign Brewer?

There is a lot of potential fall out over this.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Dan Fegan were to drop DeAndre if he changes his mind. Fegan likes to be the one making the decisions in his relationships with his clients.

Great point...Cuban himself was fined $25K for messing around with free agents before he was supposed to. Live by the sword...die by the sword. No sympathy for that guy.

Cuban did beat the freaking SEC in a case about insider trading over the course of a few years simply to clear his name.

He knows a thing or two about prolonged court battles.

Are you asking legally or are you asking if I think it's bad decorum?

    Here's what we know:

    1. Cuban was fined for messing around with FA's before he was supposed to;

    2. Deandre gave commitment to sign with Mavs...but it's not binding...there's still a contract to be signed.

    3. Now Deandre is having second thoughts...this isn't the first time this has ever happened. There's precedent. It's happened to the Mavs before, actually.

The league can't force Deandre to sign a contract with Dallas. Everyone knows that until the ink is dry, you don't have a deal. These are all big boys.

I'm sure Cuban will be pissed. I'm sure Dallas fans will hate the Clippers going forward...maybe even worse than they hate the Rockets and Spurs now.

Maybe Fegan will leave his client...though agents don't typically walk away from guys who earn max deals. But so what...another agent will step up and he'll be just fine.

    This.

Morey sent all of his computer print outs showing that DeAndre Jordan would morph into Yinka Dare with Barrera throwing lobs to him.
