.....indicating cyberx's showed up before Mo Williams signed with Cleveland? (I didn't see a in your post, so...)
But aren't we all for being fans of the NBA and driving the money that lures kids toward what pays crazy money instead of education?

Will be interesting to see what HOU does with KJ McDaniels. I'm pretty sure Morey is waiting for Summer League to move. Hoping that Dekker, Johnson, Harrell or someone else shows out so that he can package them with TJ.
Someone would really poison pill KJ McDaniels? I didn't watch him play for the 76ers - only saw him play with the Rockets. Dude seemed really project-y to me. Pleasantly surprised to hear that the outside consensus is that he's more than a gamble.
Normally I'd say giving him a max year at the end of a deal is crazy. But depending on cap projection, it might be smart. Maybe partially guarantee the final year if you can
but we no one that can playmaker or handle the ball. and have two vet SFs already on $7 mill contract. even if grant didn't get much PT at least we could finally have someone who was known to be a real PG in fold. besides random guards of the past canaan, nick j, terry, troy, prigs.... GRANT - “I make the guys around me a lot better,’’ Grant said. “I get them open looks. We’ll be ready to compete right away. … The triangle is for high IQ players and I feel I’m one of those. I’ll pick up on it quickly and help the guys around me.” dude averaged 7 assist last year, he can defend, he's smart, could play now.. he's ways better than nick J... seemed like grant was perfect guy next to harden. people say take best player on board was easy... well where will he be getting mins at even if that is the case ??
Rockets think Dekker is better than Grant... we will regret that just like picking Marcus Morris over K. Leonard.
As far as KJ, since no one really knows what they're gonna get with him (good numbers on a bad team, no numbers on a good team), they might not give him that Asik-like deal. Then again, GMs have handed out some really, really grotesque contracts this year: "Well, the new TV deal will justify paying Reggie Jackson 16 million dollars a year." I think KD has talent and in a few years when they "re-draft" on ESPN he should be sitting in the late lottery....IF he gets some burn. To get some playing time here, however, would likely mean someone currently on the roster is traded, now or later. Ariza = very valuable; Brewer = McHale's boy; Dekker = cheap contract, shooter, Big 10 toughness (perhaps), which McHale will identify with...
But back then the Rockets were in a different situation. They were so desperate for a star, they went with the more upside pick, and Morris has more upside the Leonard coming out of school. I would bet that if we had a Harden and a Howard back then, they would pick Leonard because of fit, just like they picked Dekker.
