The politics of climate change mean there will be economic losers among some very large existing industries. It is within the definition of capitalism that corporations will invest in their own interests. To not lose money or lose it less fast the these industries will invest in lawyers and lobbyist to sway opinions and influence legislation. Their public relations campaign will attempt to make it appear that the science is money motivated (the Karl Rove strategy of accusing your opponent of what you are guilty of) or questionable (99% to 1). Even if it only works as a delaying tactic it's a good investment strategy, if you are a soulless, short-sighted, non-human entity. Real humans just need to realize the stakes and the players and keep up the pressure. It's not a matter of if, just a matter of when and too late.
Yeah, I checked the coordinates of my icebox which is still as cold as it was last week. Them 97% of established published scientists don't know what they are talking about.
You can believe what you want. The FACT is there is not scientific debate about mankind inducing climate change. The consensus is there. It's politicians and people who have a diversity of opinion because they don't trust scientists and instead of looking at their evidence would rather trust the reinterpretation of some guy with a blog and about as much scientific background as a chimpanzee.
