We need Josh Smith now that Spurs are so deep in the front court with LMA, Duncan, and West. I'm happy with DMO/Smoove/Harrell lineup as long as we can move Tjones for a quality pg.
We have to keep smoove. Terrence jones is gonna get ass raped by Lamarcus Aldridge every time we play the Spurs. Its not gonna be pretty. Josh has guarded Aldridge well throughout his career. He locked down Blake Griffin. He has Elite athleticism and Shot Blocking. Terrence is the softest dude on the team.
I gotta question josh if he leaves the fit and support system on the Rockets. I wonder if David west's discount will nudge him in this matter. The spotlight in la isn't as generous as Houston's flashlight. It be like leaving rehab halfway if he really wanted to go.
Smith is a much better defender than Jones but he did not "lock down" Griffin. That dude went off against the Rockets and basically had his way until he quit shooting. Poor coaching if you ask me.
He has a great role on our team, he was on a roll in the playoffs and the Clippers probably can't make him too much richer. If he gets an 18 million dollar contract, he only sees 9 million of that. Then, on top of that, he gets taxed. In California. He can do whatever he wants. The man deserves it, but if he's happy here, why not stay?
