Eric Bledsoe???? Bledsoe may not be a true PG but he can defend, score and hit the 3. Also, he plays the 2 in Phoenix so he is used to playing off the ball... Lawson is a good offensive guy but he needs the ball a lot and is a defensive weakness, Lowry isn't going anywhere, and all the other guys to me are us just wanting something... Am I wrong?
we don't have the assets to trade for bledsoe. Lawson is our ceiling with Collison being the more likely attainable target.
I think thats a good plan and I would do it. The problem is would Indy take that for Hill? Even if they would they would very likely prefer to explore other options before settling for that. And we don't know what McDaniels is going to be offered yet. So we don't know if there will be enough MLE left to offer Smith more than what we can offer using the non-Bird rights. But... I like your idea and I would do that in a heartbeat.
Here's the FA point guard class for 2016. Some of them have already been re-signed. I expect Morey to go after someone who's expiring to keep flexibility for summer 2016. Mike Conley Brandon Jennings Greivis Vasquez Mario Chalmers Damian Lillard Raymond Felton Randy Foye Jerryd Bayless D.J. Augustin Brian Roberts Luke Ridnour Tony Wroten Jr. Steve Blake Ramon Sessions Beno Udrih Pablo Prigioni Toney Douglas Henry Walker Lester Hudson Lorenzo Brown Isaiah Canaan Ray McCallum Jerel McNeal Phil Pressey Tim Frazier Jordan Clarkson Langston Galloway David Stockton Jordan Farmar
any news on the d-will front? will the nets keep him or is there still a chance he gets bought out? maybe increased possibility of that if joe johnson gets traded?
All but two of those names should get you excited for a starting PG. And both of them aren't going anywhere
I wouldn't mind him, but it seems that he will get a decent contract from either the Mavs or the Heat. McHale likes him, no idea if Morey does.

You must not believe Sam Dekker is the next Chandler Parsons. With Brewer newly signed and Dekker drafted instead of a point guard, Morey must have lost faith in Ariza. Besides, K.J. McDaniels also can play SF as well as SG. Don't forget Papa ... if we keep him.
Disagreed entirely. I don't think a single move that we've made this offseason signals any loss of faith in Ariza. And I mean, frankly, why would it? He was our workhorse last year. He was our version of Draymond Green.
The time to get Brandon Jennings is now. His value is low due to Reggie Jackson re-sign and he is coming off injury. Kid just needs the right situation. He does not have pressure to be the man on this Rockets' team, like Smoove, he can just play. Low risk, high reward.
I would love to trade FOR J. Teague, D. Schroeder, or M. Smart... Mo Williams is a FA I wouldn't mind adding, vet shot maker that can also make plays off the bounce, comfortable off ball.
You have been here since 2010. You have witnessed multiple deals that Morey has delivered. Morey may not be the best drafter, but he is miracle worker on the trade/FA side.
The time to get a starting PG is 5 months after a major Achilles tear? http://www.cbssports.com/nba/fantas...095586/history-not-kind-for-ruptured-achilles Plus the Pistons really only have 2 PG's on their roster, and Jennings really isn't a PG. He's a scorer. He's probably coming off the bench in Houston in order to separate Harden and Jenning's minutes much like with Lin a couple years ago. He's on a one year deal, and his contract would be easy to trade for (Pap & TJones makes the salaries work), but its not really about situation, and opportunity... its about the fact that he's coming off a major injury that doesn't have a great history report, and he's not really a perfect fit next to Harden.
Bolded are the ones I'd take as starters. Italicized are the ones I'd take as backups. The rest are trash/end of bench players.
