Yeah but this stuckey news isn't rockets roster related, it's only relevant for how it might impact our roster. So Dish worthy yes.....Garm worthy no.....but cyber thread worthy sure!
two million is two million dollars. would anyone here turn down two million dollars? these people are human too. If he gets a offer by a good team like indy for more money i don't see any reason to turn them down. Esp if it's a 1+1. in the east he will have better opportunity to build back his value. Now for the Kings I don't know what's going on over there and everyone is turning them down for a discount but Indy is not the Kings.
If they think the market is a buyer's market and they are not getting good ROI they could hold out until the trade deadline and wait on a team to become desperate or wait for an injury.
im afraid bass will have the suns all over him. they should be more hesitant to go after Smoove. Because of last year lockeroom issues. Ofc nothing has been leaked yet. It can go two ways. Kings get more despearte smh and trade collison for kpap to try to bring smoove by offering MUCH more money or Kings decide they have no hope to get him and they keep collison or trade him somewhere else for a good pf or jones. Either way what happens with Smith can affect the Rockets in more than one way.
I think Lin and Collison are two legit backup prospects that can be had. Not sure I want Lawson griping about lack of touches.
Right this has been the question of speculation since we acquired Smith. Is he willing to leave money on the table to stay with this team. No one knows except josh. I think we all speculate he'd be willing to leave some money to stay on this team, how much though is the question. Is $2m too much to pass up? But for sure if gets something in the range of 8-10m he's gone.
i don't expect to leave any money on the table if he has to choose between indy and the rockets. If it's a team like the lakers/ philly/ kings then maybe. But indiana is a good team.
Turning Smith into a sign and trade for Collison would be the best thing we could do this off season short of signing a star. Let Harrell get a chance and hope for D Mo's health. Make further moves later in the year as better opportunities become available. Let's be the one to get the Josh Smiths at a bargain, not pay them beacoup money only to regret it a year later
Just how committed is Denver to dissolving themselves of him? Unless completely if I were they I would stay the course and trade high later. After an injury. When/wherever need drove up the trading partner's willingness to part with real assets.
Losing West, Hibbert, still don't know PG's status, possibly starting a rookie at center? Agree to disagree.
I agree with this.....though I don't think there are many buyers, if I were them Id wait for it to be a buyers market. No real harm in waiting.
pg already played LAST season. By now he should be 100% even if he starts off a little rusty. He didn't have an achilles or acl. This kind of injury you can come back as good as new. Hibbert they didn't lose. They traded away and that's becasue they wanted to play faster. They have Turner at C and also Ian Mahimi can play. West was a loss. And that's why they should go after a good pf. In the east if paul george is back they will make the playoffs. Unless of course we don't have multiple surprises like Orlando and Detroit having breakout seasons.
Can't see his value going up. More and more PGs just flood into the league, and we aren't losing any due to retirement. Anyone on the market for Lawson is always going to be able to find a cheaper alternative. He will continue to languish on a bad team and get more and more disgruntled.
Denver doesn't rush. If you see their trading history they are very stinky with money and they ask in trades what they seem FAIR even if it seems unrealistic. The only fast move was giving up a late first for McGee.
Lawson has been acting unprofessionally, wanting to get out of Denver, and his defense is poor. Otherwise, he is a very good fit, provided if he is healthy. He can drive, finish at the rim, pass the ball quickly and shoot. I don't think he will gripe about touches, because of his good all round offensive skill set. Defense is what he needs to work on.
i can. Sacramento is only a Rondo blowout away from giving anything to get Lawson. And even if it doesn't happen there's NO chance if Rondo ahs a good season to resign there.
First off last time I saw PG he was getting carried off the court in the playoffs. Second ok assuming he is healthy, cool they are a playoff team in the east. So what. They aren't beating the Cavs. They aren't contenders by any stretch.
indiana didn't make the playoffs last year. PG was carried away in the team USA practice when he broke his leg. He already played last year in the end of the season. He looked rusty but healthy. And just because you can't beat the Cavs doesn't mean everyone should just give up and tank. The Pacers if healthy with a good pf are a fine eastern team and its a good situation for Smoove. Provided ofc that they want him.
