But the pitches today "on the corner" haven't been in the zone... especially if you're considering a computer zone.
Why is McCullers nibbling at the corners? With his stuff he doesn't need to nibble as much as he is doing so far.
You're probably right. I'm just getting frustrated with all the walks. All of us here know that Lance could overwhelm these hitters with his stuff yet he's trying to hard to work the corners. It's a lesson that he'll learn eventually.
The Red Sox have a decent lineup on paper.... and they're all starting to heat up at the right time. Its just like everybody expecting Carter to improve towards his mean eventually and go on a torrid hot streak... its apparently happening to the Red Sox right now, and Astros pitchers are pitching like it.
I'm really impressed with the Red Sox. They have some really good starting pitching and a tough lineup. Looks like the Astros are gonna struggle to score today.
Hernandez threw 60 yesterday after 9 the day before. I'd assume he's out today Need Lance to get through 4 at least and then hope the rest of the pen can hold it down 1-2 innings at a time
They have two good starting pitchers right now... and the Astros happen to be facing both of them this series. Lineup has been average thus far... with several guys underperforming... so like I said earlier, they're all expected to get "better" at some point and it could definitely be happening now. But in the end, the Red Sox are in last place due to pitching.
Even when McCullers is not sharp, with his stuff he tends to keep the team in the game. Offense needs to wake and do their part.
