Nothing to give you right now. We've known for days LaMarcus wasn't coming. But pretty dead calm right now as far as info about the Rockets. Heard stuff about the Wolves, Nets, Magic, Wiz, and Clips but nothing directly tied to the Rockets. You might see Nene head to the Clippers in a trade if Washington gets a commitment from David West but that has changed over the last few hours. Nothing directly Rocket related.
renouncing or not doesn't matter. Philly will be all over that. 5 per 1+1 or something . tryout for future backcourt.
Did I miss something? Hasn't cyber been saying for the past week that LMA was heavily leaning towards the Spurs? Why is every body upset? Cant win em all, we got Howard, Harden(25 MVP caliber) through trade and free agency, we have solid players on rookie contracts (Dmo, Jones, Dekker), we have Ariza, Brewer and Bev locked up on good deals, we made it to WCF last season and still have room to improve. Be happy we're in a good situation.
Duncan..as b/u possible FA, Our 7' draft pick is in town right now although I think he is still a year out (hes 20 but pro since 18), could still trade for 1 (although not likely). Not really worried about it tbh, only need another Baynes type really. Plus if west signs there are plenty of big bodies. Could also find a player in summ league like we did with gary neal few years ago.
No denying TP fell off last year but he was def hobbled with injuries most of year. I expect TP to come back better and in shape after his stint with France. Remember, TD looked done 4-5 years ago, but he made huge comeback too.
No, he said LMA to SAS early on, that Love could go to the Lakers if the Lakers were interested (ha!).
The difference is TD never relied on his athleticism, while TP has relied on his speed for the majority of his career. If injuries and age start to slow him down, he will become a liability due to his poor shooting. Mills, TBH, should be retained if you can. He'd be a great replacement, eventually, in the starting lineup.
i'm assuming pop will want to sit duncan thoughout the season to keep him fresh. and in that case aldridge would probably be moved to the 5 in a smallball lineup. that scenario's in line with the way the league is moving/pushing towards……and will likely be successful against the majority of teams. aldridge is deadly from inside the arc and would pull big men out, opening up the lane for SA's precision offense. it's just that aldridge is on record saying he doesn't want to play the 5 so not sure what pop has told him. as far as a backup center, i honestly don't know what SA has planned or which assets they'll give up in a trade. i don't think west or summer league will be enough though
Something is happening behind the scenes. There is no way that Morey completely ignores his star players request for help at point guard. You have to wonder if he's after Lawson and he's waiting to get him for scraps. I would've said Lowry is a good option, but I firmly believe that Toronto wanted Ariza. We could really use a Cyberx, Doc, or Codman update...
No way for u to know that until TD deal is done and Manu decides. Also could S&T..his stock went up last year when he filled in for TP when hurt
Mills is signed..not sure why so many keep saying hes available. On TP you are correct mostly, but you are assuming hes fallen off cliff when reality was he had several injuries last year..never was healthy. It just wasnt reported until after season was over for the most part.
