I'd totally trade Jones for Even Funnier. Jones is fine, but the team can use a good perimeter shooter/playmaker and has plenty of PFs. Besides, I can't see the Rockets paying both DMo and Jones when the year is over.
He has enough left to play 15-20 mpg of NBA average competent basketball. He runs the floor hard, can make the midrange shot, rebound, score around the hoop if need be. He also never gets hurt-- the man missed 1 game last season, and 9 total for his entire NBA career.
if you want to take harkless and fournier probably will have to eat frye. And yes frye is a long bad contract and he won't survive skiles. I don't think even vuc will survive skiles. The magic should try to get a defensive pf who can rimprotect a bit. At least defend at a high level. I don't see them being interested in jones. I think jones will be of much interest to Indiana and to Toronto and to Washington. most of all indy who needs infusion of youth.
