I'm thinking McDaniels, if we get him back, is gonna get a chance to play at the 1. I think he's got a great chance to be a PITA for opponent point guards defensively.

I think McDaniels will be more of a 2 sense we have 37 forwards

He just needs to work on his 3 point shot. He can jump out the gym and block shots but on this team, that doesn't really help us when we have Smith, TJones, Dwight and Capela

If McDaniels is playing one of the guard spots (if you want to be technical, Harden would be the 1), then Smoove will have to start because Rockets would need to have another distributor if Harden is smothered on D.

    I like the PITA descriptor.

Ummmm, DMo is every bit the distributor/playmaker Smoove is.

I liked the Dekker pick from a pure talent perspective. I think the guy can ball and impact the game in different ways. I think he's going to be fun to watch in the open court and is smart enough to play in the halfcourt thanks to the Wisco training.

But at this point in time, I kind of wish we had drafted Jerian Grant. Low-ceiling but a high floor player imo, someone who would've given us a nice secondary ball-handler off the bench with the size to defend and solid shooting.

Hopefully Morey has something planned for the PG position because drafting Dekker right now kind of seems like a risky move now that Llull isn't coming here.

We need a PG. Lawson is available. Gotta wonder how much Morey wants him.

Now you're just being stupid. Again. D-Mo is a decent ball handler with good decision making, for the most part.

He is not a point forward like Smoove.

Smith's playmaking is just so inconsistent. One night he's throw crazy lobs to Dwight. The next he's lazily throw the ball away out of bounds or for an easy layup for the other team.

he doesnt need to be ball handler, you give him the ball in the post, he draws double, makes pass to open player. He might not be point forward, but hes as good passer as Smith.

He's not as good of a passer as Smith is.

Smith can thread the needle on the fast break. D-Mo cannot.

How often have you even seen D-Mo throw a lob to Dwight? I've seen every game that Dwight and D-Mo have played, and I can safely say D-Mo hardly ever hits Dwight with a lob.

But just in general, Smith can make passes that D-Mo just can't make.
