When you consider that Durant is already playing on probably the best team in the WC, it makes it even more ridiculous to waste time on this stupid idea.
OK, but even if you don't go for Durant, do you agree that, since the vast majority of the league will have max cap space in 2016, the Rockets HAVE to make moves in free agency JUST to keep up with appearances?
What's more of a waste of time? People discussing something you think is a waste of time? Or arguing with people about why you think what they're talking about is a waste of time? Hmmmm
Take him off OKC (like this year) they aren't as good as us, now imagine how lethal adding him to this core would be.
JFC. You're maybe the most relentlessly negative (non-troll) on this BBS. That's of course your prerogative, but just remember that pessimism by nature is no more realistic than optimism. It's just a childish defensive mechanism against potential disappointment.
You do realize that the reason why OKC is considered one of the best because they have Kevin Durant, right? And you do realize that the Rockets without Durant was a vastly superior team to OKC without Durant last year, right? Plus Westbrook's contract is up in 2017.
No, didn't realize that at all. In that case, let's speculate on where Harden might decide to go when his contract is up. He's the only reason why Houston is considered good. I'm sure there are some teams that without Harden were much better than the Rockets without Harden. Or, we could focus on trying to win a ring while Howard can still play.
Sorry doc, but I wouldn't be disappointed if Durant didn't sign here. In fact, I'd rather he didn't. I don't see the fun in winning with a super team.
In 3-4 years this will happen on this board and probably every other NBA board. Yes, shockingly NBA fans like to talk about impending FAs.
They go after everybody hard every year. Nothing ever amounts or works out. Been a Rockets fan for 20+ years, getting tired of disappointment year after year. While the Spurs just scratch their ass and end up with Aldridge.
Durant loves James Harden, but hates Dwight. I personally think he's DC bound. Washington would dominate the eastern conference every year.
