Something to ponder. Maybe we re-upped with Brewer as Ariza insurance, to have depth there if Aldridge were to pick us.

Bima - can you give us a potential SNT scenario that would work?

All I can take from the most recent WOJ bomb is that announcing brewer is a message to Aldridge that we have Ariza's replacement in the starting lineup in hand.

If that's the intent of the wojbomb, I love it.

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">At this point, a LMA S&amp;T could still conceivably be done w/o moving Ariza, but several roster spots'd need to be filled out by vet min guys.</p>&mdash; David Weiner (@BimaThug) <a href="https://twitter.com/BimaThug/status/617106102539280384">July 3, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Sixers could be a big help to us in any potential S&T. Give them that NYK 2nd to take on Dorsey's salary.

Seems to suggest we could still acquire Aldridge if we trade Ariza:

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Remember that thing where I said the Rockets can S&amp;T for Aldridge w/o dealing Ariza? Not so sure about that anymore. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/BevIsBack?src=hash">#BevIsBack</a></p>&mdash; David Weiner (@BimaThug) <a href="https://twitter.com/BimaThug/status/617107453088436224">July 3, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Or a message that we are willing to move on without him and we will be contenders regardless.

Beverley back. Brewer back. Both pretty good deals IMO.

It will be interesting to see what happens. Honestly, I'm at the point where I am fine either way. It would obviously be awesome to have Aldridge. But I love Ariza so if we don't get LMA then I would be fine keeping the crew that we had together last year and then trying to work out a trade for a PG, either this offseason or around the trade deadline.

Correct me if I'm wrong .... But they have simply come to agreements with PatBev & Brewer and cant consummate these deals until after the moratorium.
Conceivably they could deal for Aldridge or some other big $$ player via S&T and ink Bev and Brewer to their contracts after that deal went thru since they can go over the cap to sign both players and still have the MLE to play with ?!
Or would these two deals & Aldridges incoming salary put them over the apron ?? I haven't done the math ... but that would appear to be the only hurdle to such a plan of action.

Who's left to trade for Lawson now that the Kings are off the market?

Knicks have nothing to trade either, the Jazz?
