Here is LACs front court right now: Blake / Davis Udoh / ? I'd doesn't really matter how good your guards and forwards are when your bigs are that thin and frankly, bad. They have zero rim protection…..it will be a layup line to the basket.
You are up next Ekpe! or Perkins <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="und" dir="ltr"></p>— Ekpe Udoh (@EkpeUdoh) <a href="https://twitter.com/EkpeUdoh/status/617062892727209984">July 3, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">So, the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/mavs?src=hash">#mavs</a> don't have a PG & <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/clippers?src=hash">#clippers</a> don't have a C...</p>— Michael Lee (@MrMichaelLee) <a href="https://twitter.com/MrMichaelLee/status/617063442478837760">July 3, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
It's the only explanation I can come up with. Other than Jordan wanting to be back in Texas, but I never heard much chatter about that. I think it's a huge mistake. The Clippers with Jordan are far closer to a title than the Mavs. I wonder what Paul Pierce is thinking right about now.
He's from Los Angeles. Getting paid at the age of 48. I don't think he really cares at this point. lol
Yes, rumors were Hibbert and Lance didn't get along, IIRC. Also, Hibbert doesn't come close to fitting the Clippers' system. Really slow, uncoordinated big that can't really jump? Sure, it's better than Big Baby Davis but replacing DJ with Hibbert is still a massive downgrade.
Paging BimaThug. I don't' think so either because of the amount Jordan got. I think they would have to take around 13-14 mill each.
I think we all understand this...but Bima, and others have explained of possibilities that could allow the team to keep a pretty reasonable supporting cast along side LMA, Dwight and Harden...via S/T.
Wow I never thought of that Blake signing. I always wondered if he would end up in Oklahoma again. Durant Blake and Westbrook would be the most ridiculous trio.
I don't think so, but could be wrong. Perhaps there's a way they can parlay a S&T to create the room? No idea. But Parsons/Dirk/Wes/DJ make ~$55 MM combined, and I believe the cap is set at $67 MM.
I don't know if I see all of them playing together, I think it would only happen if one of KD of Westbrook went home (DC/LA).
Have you seen that dude play? He doesn't have to wait. If AD had any teammates he'd be ready to contend now.
And remember, the Mavs have no PG or bench. They have to address those needs first. Besides, even if they could afford Aldridge, how would that work with Dirk playing the same position?
