We may have to use part of the MLE to sign K.J./Harrell, then use the rest of it to fill the PG position.
Really? So there's really nothing that can come out of the media that would say to you we're not an option. You have to be stretching really hard to be thinking that's the actual play here.
I dunno, Rodney Stuckey, anyone? No reason to sit on our hands if we've been told we're out. We MIGHT wait on Brewer/Smith before using the MLE, but it seems like they're going to get money elsewhere, and Brewer is unlikely to return per Feigen.

McHale was on 790 just now. I caught like 5 minutes of it. He said he wishes we could of played better the GS Series. Thinks we really could of beat them, had the match ups he liked etc. Harden tough luck on the bad game 5 & thats what happens when you have the ball in your hand a lot. He wants to add a ball handler in the off season. Said Capela needs to hit the weight room etc. He spoke more on the GS series from what I caught. He said I wanted 1 more game at Toyota Center.
More suspicious would be us just not even engaging our own guys if we thought we were out on LA, like Amick suggests. Much harder to believe we are out on LA but still not doing anything with our own FAs than LA and Houston is just keeping Rox involvement tightlipped.
what the hell do they seven want? ariza fine have him but what else do they want? I' doubt o]phil would even know who dmo or papa are and I'm dead serious when i write that
Certainly sounds as though Houston is out of the running, but just waiting on LMA's final decision. Hopefully he cuts it to 2 or 3 tonight. Obviously Morey is working on other FA deals (Stuckey?) and potential trades, but he needs this shoe to drop first. If he doesn't sign in Houston, I hope he goes to the Suns. Good not great team, but will probably a lot of fun to watch.
You'll need roughly $14 million to trade for LaMarcus in a sign-and-trade scenario. Kostas/Pablo/Jones/Dorsey add up to a little more than $10 million. So you gotta get another $4 million from somewhere. You could cobble together DMo, Nick, and Capela and get it done. Or you could sign Dekker and then in 30 days combine him with DMo and Nick to get it done. Or you could sign one or more of our draftees that we hold rights to (Harrell, Gentile, Leunen, Diebler, Todorovic, Newley, Hamilton, Hervelle) to $4 million of our MLE and also complete the trade. None of those are realistic. The only realistic sign-and-trade would involve one or both of Bev/Brewer being signed and traded away. And even then, it might get so complicated that the only choice we would have would be to unload all our non-guaranteeds and cap holds and sign him with cap space after making a couple trades of key pieces to create the space. Which would make the acquisition of LMA under those conditions extremely costly and very limiting to our ability to continue to improve this team.
Much better is an overstatement. A little better is more accurate. They both score mainly on dunks on lobs and offensive rebounds. Last season Tyson made 27 of 72(.375) jumpers, 61 of 120(.508) layups and 193 of 205(.941) dunks. DeAndre made 12 of 34(.353) jumpers, 90 of 156(.743) layups and 292 of 328(.890) dunks. Their shot charts look almost the same, but Tyson takes more jumpers and has more range.
It appears that Corey is still weighing his options w/ teams that may be prepared to pay him more than we are. What FA point guard could we be signing right now?
Guys seriously, why on earth is he meeting Pop and the Spurs again?? I am telling you if he is decided to go there it makes no sense they requested this new meeting and he has not signed for them yet!!! And in the meantime we are silent as a corpse? Fishy, fishy, fishy!!!
He's much better at FTs at least, which stops teams from hacking him every time he touches the ball like they do with DJ.
Why are you all always so negative? Just think about it, LMA don't have a kid in Phoenix, he ain't from Arizona, the Suns is a mediocre team, and he wants to play with 32 year old Chandler when he has a chance to play with Dwight in a tax-free state????
