Considering we've been drafting in the late teens and twenties since Morey took over: Brooks, Landry, TJones, DMo, 2Pat, Parsons and Capella are all pretty good picks.

Is there any point arguing about whether the teams needs a pg? I thought that was accepted by now.

newsflash: we cant add anyone without a trade or vet min coz we dont have capspace. So stop whining. It takes two to tango you cant force anyone to trade you someone they dont want.
Its only second day of free agency and ppl act all desperate like its august or smth.

I get that Rockets ar great at reducing leaks, and that gives me hope as far as no news about LMA and Rockets are surfacing BUT...

We all know the only way for Rockets to get him is to pull off some salary shedding trades. We might be good at reducing leaks, but the teams we are contacting for deals are not. So why then is there now twitter chatter from the sources of OTHER teams about Morey shedding salary to them? Add the fact that Morey has gone on record to say that retaining our FA's is a priority... it's not boding well for the LMA situation.

I must say though, it is EXTREMELY strange the Rockets are not being mentioned at all, even to say that the Rockets are out of contention for LMA. No one has said good or bad about the rockets in the LMA sweepstakes, since the very first news we were a top 4 team to get him. The lack of chatter is hope something is on the cards, but logically, I can't see it without us being very active in trades right now.

I just don't see how it's not between Spurs and Houston.

We can make the moves to open up space: that's why we got a meeting in the first place. Morey just won't pull the trigger until we know he's coming.

If he's gonna go somewhere other than here, Phoenix is fine. But what does he see there? They aren't contenders as built.

Morey already said himself any major moves like LMA are unlikely and they plan to work over the cap.

Nothing he said was untrue? It's just the fact that he's a proponent of Morey and I don't think Morey is as great as most make him out to be. As I stated before, I think he is very good at accumulating assets but he doesn't know how to build a team!

I think he has a very good concept of how the game is suppose to be played, layups and 3's but as far as how to put it all together, he throwing stuff at the walls to see what sticks. If it doesn't stick he gets rid of it.....that ruins chemistry.

You have a team that won 56 games last year, got to the Western Conf Finals, plus you had two of the top 7 players in your rotation hurt.....WHY IN HELL ARE YOU GOING AFTER ALDRIDGE????

Go get you a point guard, get you a player who can backup Harden and put that team back on the court......IF THE SPURS CAN WIN WITH CONTINUITY, WHY CAN'T WE???

or it could just mean there a slim chances of a trade/s that would allow the rockets to get him. teams and his agent would have discussed trade scenarios.

Well, like many others have noted, it's not ALL about winning sometimes. You never know what perspective players might have, maybe Aldridge doesn't want to come to Houston to be in Harden's shadow, maybe Aldridge doesn't want to go to the Spurs to look like a ring chaser at the end of the big 3's legacy.

Maybe he likes the Suns because they have never won a nba title before and he would be making some really history by leading that team to one. Maybe he ****ing loves Los Angeles.

The possibilities are endless, if I where you guys i'd just relax and wait for his decision.

Maybe u think NBA is just like nba2k online, u r too lovely!
NBA has too many inteligent guys, any GM can't think more smarter than others, so the best GM is always the guy who has taken less mistakes, but it's sure any gm will take some mistake

THE WARRIORS ARE A SMALL BALL TEAM, THEY ELECTED TO GO TO THEIR STRENGTH, INSTEAD OF TRYING TO MATCH UP WITH THE CAVS....GO BACK TO AND LOOK AT GAME 4, IT CHANGED THE SERIES

I'm a proponent of truth, something I can not say about you.

My only agenda is making good posts in the forum I moderate, again...unlike you.

I DARE you to find multiple posts that can be construed as a Morey aopologist by any reasonable person(again, not you).

Just chill on the labeling and namecalling or it will go badly for you, I can promise you that is a fact.

the rockets overachieved and lucked out on a chokey clippers team.

before last season began the rockets needed upgrades at starting pg, pf, and back up c. they still do.

the board is gaga over capela because of his athleticism on offense but even his offense is limited. people overlooking how the rockets got destroyed when howard sat. right now capela is a project version of stro swift.
