Looks like it only cost the Wizards cap space (in the form of a trade exception) and a second round pick as well. Rockets could have easily done that.

Anyone get the feeling all this Phoenix as a top contender for him feeling is just their management getting all giddy and making cap space. I really don't believe it at all. And it's kind of strange there hasn't been a single rumor about the Rockets since Woj reported that they were a close 2nd for LMA.
Point the first....I know it is irritating as hell, but most of yall have been here for previous free agent periods and you KNOW that the Rockets are very good at reducing leaks. Time after time Morey stays quiet and makes it seem like he isn't doing anything, then BAM!...moves happen. There is really very little point to staying on top of every little thing, cause you know none of it is coming from the Rockets. Second point...NO cap space....not gonna outright sign FA players...if you don't know this, get educated before you whine about how Rockets arent doing anything to sign free agents. The only moves will be resigning their own players and maybe a trade/SnT. Third point....The ROckets are in fact able to talk to multiple players at one time, just because they are waiting to hear from Aldridge does NOT mean they are not getting the framework for other deals put together while they wait. The Rockets are known for covering all the possibilities, so Im positive they already have scenarios of what happens in either case(Aldridge coming or not coming) Some of yall really need to go acquire a chill pill and take that b****.
Now this Dudley trade makes me really think Morey's got something else working. Dudley's a perfect fit here. Perfect contract. Perfect game shooting the corner ball to be a 3 or spread 4. And we could've put up a second to bring him here. But looks like we didn't even make a move for him. Makes me think something else has to be afoot with Morey besides LaMarcus.
