I love how everyone on the planet knows this about Aldridge (for many years) apparently except for New York. It looks like Phil's dog ate his homework.
Going to Miami or LA would be even better for Rockets. LA would be dumb for Aldridge but not sure the east is an easier path anymore even with the 30 and over all star squad he'd have with Miami.

Well if LMA does not want to play the center, Houston is his best bet. We have Dwight, Capella, and possibly Perkins (YUCK!). A 39 year old Duncan, even if 100% healthy for the season, can only play limited minutes at center. The Spurs have no one else. Maybe Pops traded away the wrong player? Again, IF all this center stuff from LMA is true.
I feel like everyone needs to take a moment to recognize how awesome it is to have a GM that keeps his roster JUST flexible enough to potentially be a player in literally every single major trade and transaction in the league. You have to admit the offseasons are far more entertaining with Morey on the prowl....
Time is Houston's friend because they are letting other teams sacrifice their depth while still having some semblance of control of theirs. The longer this plays out, the better maintaining the status quo for the Rockets becomes. Then it's just about tinkering with the depth using existing trade assets and you are at least as good as the team who made it to the WCF. Given hopefully better health, taking another big leap is possible.
That Love returning to Cavs may change his mind bit. He need think a three plan, not just one year plan with Spurs.
This could prob be comparable to urself picking and choosing a college many schools interviewing u. Instead aldridge is the college all us kids want to go to and the college is going around finding the perfect student aka team
Pops: "yeah we'll give you Splitter for loose change" Budenholzer: "Ight. Deal" *hangs up phone* .............. Pops: "WAIT **** NO NOT SPLITTER I MEANT BONNER. FUUUUUUUUUU"
