I don't see the Celtics wanting Bosh, he's too old and has too big of a contract for how young their team is. Love was one thing (26), Bosh is another(31).
Why would LMA go to Miami if they have to gut the team or trade Bosh? Lamarcus plus Wade and Dragic isn't more of a contender than he has in Portland IMO, although I suppose it would be easier to get out of the East.
Cap space? A lot of IFs in play... IF LaMarcus was seriously interested in Miami and IF Miami was seriously interested in LaMarcus... ...they have no room currently. So IF this was serious, they're probably looking to dump Bosh and dump him for very little or nothing to sign LaMarcus. Unless they're doing a sign and trade?
Which suitor can offer Portland the best S&T package without gutting their team to the point where LMA would no longer want to go there? Houston. Which suitor benefits the most from multiple teams creating cap space to lure LMA? Not sure, but I know that Portland is losing leverage as we speak Which suitor benefits the most from Portland losing leverage in a S&T? Houston. Which suitor have we heard the least about? Houston. Which suitor would benefit the most from this lack of media information? Houston. Which suitor provides LMA both short and long term success in the same state as his child? Houston. Maybe I have my rose-tinted shades on, but something is cooking here. I can feel it
I can't stand Spurs fans, but even I sympathize with them. He's jerking half a dozen teams around right now when it's clear his list of finalists is down to 2, maybe 3 at most. He needs to sit down with his people, his family, whomever he consults with and just decide already.
I'm not going to say that LMA should hurry up his decision. It's his decision, he should take as much time as he feels he needs. But I've changed my opinion on how involved we should me. We were in the WCF and had two starters injured. Phoenix and LA need a Lamarcus. San Antonio needs to plan for the future of their franchise. We just need to get better. The longer LMA takes, the harder it is for us to get better. If he's going to drag it out, let's cut bait.
Yup, he definitely thought about winning a ring in Houston when he took that contract last year! Really, you'd think he'd be pissed if he was traded to Dallas? Doubt it.
