Darren Collison is the best player based on how much he's getting paid. I'd rather go for him than giving up the farm for a Lawson. Collison is getting $5m a year. Absolute steal.

I have no doubt that agents float "Houston has registered interested in my client" to the media because we have a track record of doing due diligence on available options. As tight-lipped the Rockets have been this offseason, the Rockets organization is not leaking information Chris Broussard of all people. It's coming from the player and they benefit from having a larger market.
Only time that I have seen the Rockets squander a 1st round pick via trade is to get rid of a bad contract(ala Lin)...No way the Rockets make the same mistake. The Milwaukee Bucks have spearheaded their youth movement by overly pointing to the future. Slogans like “Own the Future”, sending Ersan Ilyasova packing for cap space, and a complete, expertly executed re-brand all indicate a major paradigm shift. On draft night the Bucks shuffled the deck further by trading away future draft picks for Greivis Vasquez and drafting the uber-young Rashad Vaughn–positions currently held by Jerryd Bayless and O.J. Mayo. Vasquez’s acquisition has been analyzed inside and out; it’s generally agreed he was brought in for shooting as well as mentoring, which can lead to future successful guard play. Vaughn is clearly a project (despite his froth-worthy talent). But what do the additions of Vasquez and Vaughn mean for veterans O.J. Mayo and Jerryd Bayless? For Bayless it means nothing good. Right now the Bucks have five point guards on the roster: Carter-Williams, Vasquez, Bayless, Ennis, and Gutierrez. That’s about three too many considering that the Bucks entered last season three-deep at point guard (Knight, Bayless, and Marshall). Gutierrez will likely be released this summer, and Ennis is still too young and raw to move. That leaves Bayless as the odd man out in the PG rotation (assuming Carter-Williams is, in fact, the future). Any speculation that includes Bayless at SG should be put to rest. When the Bucks ran multiple point guard sets toward the end of last season (Carter-Williams, and Bayless) Bayless typically dominated the ball. Carter-Williams brought it up-court, but Bayless ended possessions when he touched the ball. In other words–he needs to have the ball in order to be effective. He also tends to dribble out the shot clock before settling for a poor shot. The Bucks need a pass-first PG which Bayless has shown he is not. Right now the Bucks have a plethora of lead guard options and if we have to choose two between the trio of Ennis, Vasquez, or Bayless the answer is clear: out with the old, in with the new. I fully expect Bayless to be playing in a different uniform next season. O.J. Mayo’s situation could be more stable…for now. Mayo played well last season backing up Khris Middleton and provided MUCH needed bench scoring. He’s a proven scorer. Not necessarily an effective one…but a scorer nonetheless. The Bucks’ bench will need that scoring ability next season–especially with Ersan Ilyasova long gone. Seriously–look at the projected depth as we stand. PG: Carter-Williams, Vasquez, Ennis (assuming Bayless and Gutierrez are gone) SG: Middleton (set to re-sign), Mayo, Vaughn SF: Antetokounmpo, Dudley (now that he has opted-in) PF: Parker, Inglis, O’Bryant C: Pachulia, Henson, Plumlee Obviously this lineup could change significantly before the beginning of the season, but for now it’s reasonable. Now, look closely at the second string lineup: Vasquez, Mayo, Inglis, Dudley and Henson. Ouch. Outside of Mayo (who scored 17.1 PPG per 36 minutes last season) the Bucks only have Vasquez (14 per 36) as a somewhat reasonable scoring option. Dudley (10.9 per 36), Inglis (rookie) and Henson (13.8 per 36) just don’t cut it as reliable scoring options. Solid role players, sure–but offensive liabilities. What does that tell us? The Bucks’ bench needs scoring! Rashad Vaughn is likely a year (at least) from being a contributor, much less an impact player. We still have summer league and the preseason to gauge his game–but immediate expectations for an eighteen-year-old draft pick should be very, very low. That’s not to say that Vaughn won’t be a solid piece someday–even as soon as next season when Mayo becomes an unrestricted free agent. (The Bucks will likely let Mayo walk next summer if Vaughn shows anything.) But for this season it’s clear that the Bucks need Mayo’s scoring ability. Now, IF Vaughn shows incredible progress through the early part of the season the Bucks could try shopping Mayo at the trade deadline for another expiring contract at a position of need (*cough forward cough*). Right now, if only for one more season, the Bucks should keep Mayo. Will they? Who knows…free agency is calling the shots now.
The monroe signing made henson unavailable. If it was rolo it could be done. Now its plumplee out or at worst zaza. The pf interest is telling. Morrey is not banking on josh smith staying.
A ton of interest in PFs? Sounds like we're looking to trade D-Mo and TJ hopefully for a point guard not named Jeremy Lin..
In a metrics driven system, I wouldn't worry too much about traditional player roles. Morey may want one center and multiple powerfoward types so the roster can go big or small. Josh Smith could still return and it means multiple of Jones, Caoela, and DMo may be available in deals that shore up the guard rotation.
The key deal I'm suggesting is Ennis for a future #1. The edges of the deal could be worked out as long as we're getting expirings with no long-term money. Dump Zaza? Sure. Just as long as we get Ennis. Are the Bucks interesting in moving Ennis and salary to get a pick?

As a bucks fan i wpuld immediately call the league office and say no take backs as a rox fan i would pull my hair. Ennis isnt that good. I get that you like him but he hasnt shown nothing. Thats why he wont get traded before we know if he has smth . besides hes injured. Had a surgery in shoulder. You must be ennis biggerlst fan bballholic. #teamennis.
