The deal isn't that bad, but i just kinda feel they will trade him sooner rather then latter to a team lacking big, because he clearly doesn't fit their team all that much.

I know the cap for rising and all, but I think this contract stinks. Asik wasn't very good last year. He looked even slower and more offensively challenged than ever before.

Asik seriously has stone hands, dude blew so many gimmes with us, and his defense has slipped as well.

Seems like a great deal to me. Once again you get a ton of people crying about offense. Nobody is signing Omer to score. Or even catch.

That's because Harden made him look so good.

I think that's a great contract for the Pelicans. Asik might not fit very well with them, but it's better to sign him to a good contract and trade him later for someone who does, than to watch him walk out the door for nothing. $12m for a legit center is stable stakes, and this guy is a pretty good defender.

Coming from Phoenix/Golden State, Gentry has no use for these 2 cloggers.

$60M when they just re-signed Alexis Ajinca earlier in the day?

Honestly, that's a fair contract. If he could catch a ball and if he had any offensive ability he'd be a max player. Look at Parsons.

Omer's a 7 footer with great defense and rebounding ability. He has a rare body size and is a one dimensional player, but is one of the best at what he does. That's worth a $12m contract. Many of you guys aren't thinking clearly about this.

He was so huge for us 2 years back. He basically was our entire defense. Better defensive system and he can get back to that.

In light of the inflation rate so far this offseason, 12M per is a reasonable price for a D&R big.

I think the more teams lean on small ball the more he becomes a relic of another era. It became glaringly obvious in the series against GS that a slow footed 7 footer is easy to expose.
