Looking forward to seeing Velasquez get the ball to Fields/Gregerson tonight. I'm assuming Fields will pitch the 8th, since Neshek pitched yesterday and been a while since Fields pitched.
Santana has played 10 games in CF as a professional. That is 1 game more than Brett Wallace had at SS, who just happens to be back in the majors right now.
15 more homers and we will have surpassed the combined total homers by the 78 and 79 Houston Astros combined, by the All Star break.
Really frustrating to go from having 3 CF's playing everyday to having NONE. Additionally, Springer has been this team's biggest run-creator by far thus far... of course Correa would exceed him if he keeps up his current torrid pace (unlikely). Just gotta hope its a really bad bruise... but even then, his ability to swing a bat with authority is likely impaired till it fully heals regardless.
I thought they would leave him in for his defense. Let him watch 3-6 pitches and go back to the dugout or 1B.
