It is genuinely amazing that there are people who really think this way. Like...I like to laugh at the Lakers expense more than anybody, but these last few years have really opened all of our eyes to just how moronic that fan base can be. It's cringe-inducing reading some of their stuff.
You're right because what we'd get and want in return is a pick or two. Even a heavily protected 1st Rounder would be valuable in a S&T for Aldridge. Hell, 2 2nds would be valuable.
3 years ago, before the Rockets had Harden, teams FAs were running away from the Rockets like Morey was passing wind in the meetings. The idea that "being embarased" by FA's is somehow devestating is young mans' thinking, where you won't ask a girl out because being rejected would be too much for your fragile psyche. You'll never get a hit if you don't swing the bat. If Lakers get their s**t together, get some positive momentum, and move on from Kobe, nobody's going to remember what LMA did to them in FA. The Lakers should view this as indication they need to step up their game next time, and get their house in order, nothing more. But I'm going to guess it takes awhile to figure this out. Arrogance is a hell of a drug.
Am I the only perplexed as to why absolutley no one is talking about the Rockets in regards to Aldridge, despite reports coming out that he was impressed by the Rockets presentation? I still think we're longshots to get him, but I definitely believe we have a better chance than Phoenix.
Sorry, here is the report: http://www.libertyballers.com/2015/...agent-rumors-sixers-and-rockets-talking-trade
Like I said before: this time Morey and Co probably want to keep everything air tight. Also another factor is that they're not on home turf this time. With Howard and Melo, they flew those guys in and wined and dined them. No one in LA wants to take pictures of Houston's team going in and out of buildings.
months ago cyber posted teams weren't interested in him plus gm's know what morey's trying to achieve right now. they're not going to facilate a lma to the rockets move.
Lakers fans are that girl with a horrible attitude who thinks guys don't like her "because I'm too pretty."
