I never said he would sign there and have always maintained the Spurs as the front runners by a mile.

Rockets have always lagged behind all these other teams in terms of signing him.

Even the freaking Suns are getting a run right now.

Im sure Morey is quite impressive when it comes to presentations...he can, no doubt, dominate that environment. But still, Houston was barely on the radar and there is zero indication that he's interested in coming here (other than he was impressed by the presentation, which really doesnt mean anything).

The Rockets haven't been eliminated. The Lakers have. So, no, they're not lagging behind...

Sounds like a lotta conjencture. Based on today, it appears the Rockets are ahead of the Lakers by a mile too and the only two teams out there are SA and the Rockets if he wants a championship on his hit list of teams to visist.

Forget about Aldridge. Make moves to round out the roster.

That's after the presentations...before the presentations, Houston was behind LA...and all my posts had to do with that time frame. Sorry, didnt realize Kobe was a perennial nut job in meetings.

He has a kid in SA, he's wowed by Spurs championships n legends tony parker and Duncan but I think he's looking at it the wrong way. He's trying to do that tim Duncan Robison thing and I think it's to late for that. Duncan is about done, who knows how much longer until parker is gonna decline, manu is dried up, Leonard is solid but I don't see him as a consistent day to day superstar, green is decent. I just don't see why he wouldn't join rockets, to me there's more upside. Best SG and best C and he could make a case for best PF. He could actually be in the limelight for once and win a ring with the same squad for longer.

Yes, of course. There is no such thing. We have no idea what health will be like. We have no idea what our depth would be like. There is never a guarantee.

That said, look at last season. Before the season started, we had no depth. Morey pulled off a couple of great moves and had some good luck and turned our bench into a strength (not saying he could do that two years in a row, just that it is a possibility)
We struggled with injuries all year long and still finished as the second best team in one of the hardest Western Conferences in awhile.

I'm not saying that I think LMA is going to come to Houston. I think it's a slim chance. But if we are taking about taking risks and going to a team for a chance- right now the Rockets would be a pretty safe bet to go with.

This is exactly what I have said the entire time.

Slim chance Rockets get him, but if it's purely about basketball, then it SHOULD be Houston. The fact that there hasnt been more buzz around him joining the Rockets leads me to believe that it's not all about winning.

Not that I think they are championship contenders at all....but if Phoenix signed LMA they would have

    Knight
    Bledsoe
    Tucker
    LMA
    Chandler

I'm not sold on Bledsoe's or Chandler's health, but that could be a good lineup. Nothing to scoff at for sure.

While I agree, if he does end up going to San Antonio, no one could blame him of 'not caring about winning'

I think Houston is currently in a better spot. But it is hard to argue with San Antonio's track record for the past 15 years. Even though Duncan, Ginobili and Parker are getting old, if LMA signed there they would have a Green, Leonard and Aldridge for the next 4 years. And Popavich.

You can make a very compelling case for Houston. Harden+Howard>>Green+Leonard. But it is, IMO, a very very close call between Houston and SAS- if it is purely about basketball

True but now I wonder if Bledsoe will remain in Phx or not and/or Knight...

Then get to the Finals as they prove to be much smarter than the posters on this forum, again.

Wow, have I mentioned how much I love the Rockets' front office?

Because, even with how much crap they get at times, I love the Rockets' front office.
