A full year with the same roster and a healthy Dmo and Bev will be better than last year, add another year to Capela and throw in Dekker and Montrezl. I think Jones will be gone one way or the other along with Prig, maybe Terry and we get another PG.

In terms of maneuvering, because we can go over the cap to re-sign Brewer and Beverley, it would be idiotic not to retain them unless something amazing comes up.

That frees up the MLE to shore up other rotation spots. If we use the MLE to sign a SF, then we can not use it to shore up the PG position. If we don't retain Bev, then we will need the MLE to sign someone good enough to play 35ish minutes at least.

Right now, we need to figure out how to keep this team together and get the best PG possible or get a player better than any of our 5 starters.

It's also going to be HARD to convince Smith that we should not give him the MLE even though he showed such humility coming off the bench, connected with Dwight on the floor and had some big games for us.

Knight, Bledsoe, LMA, and Tyson is really solid. I could see them as high as the 3 seed (definitely not better than the Rockets with LMA though).

 

If phoenix smh gets aldridge it would be the most shocking star decision ever.

 

They need 2 teams to leverage one against the other. LMA was gonna use LA to leverage against other team for full money but now that it's clear he isn't going to LA then he needs a second banana with money.

 

And to be fair, he had the Dwight sweepstakes down to LA and Dallas until the very end.

 

I would rather have him go there than LA, Dallas, San Antonio.

Also don't think they can get LMA with Bled still there.
