Hi LaMarcus, It's Daryl again. WE HAVE DWIGHT ****ING HOWARD.

A key wrinkle: Aldridge's strong preference to play PF rather than C no secret. Id be perfectly fine with LMA is Phoenix. A Knight/LMA combo is a watered down Portland team. That is a win for Houston. But yea, no chance he goes to the Suns.
Seriously, if Aldridge only wants to play PF then Houston is his best choice. And it really isn't even close.
Plus compare Ariza's contract to other similar players this offseason...Demarre Carrol, Danny Green, Kris Middleton, Aminu etc
...Harden passes better than most PGs and Howard is one of the best centers in the league in the present(not past his prime like Chandler).
Ifthats exactly what we need right now. Lma giving hope to phoenix will make both toronto and ny crazy. And by crazy i mean they will make monumental idiotic trades.
The only player you listed that Ariza is better than is Aminu. The other 3 are much better offensive players and at least on the same level of defense.
Phoenix can offer him a good PG in Knight, a still decent center in Chandler, a valuable asset in Bledsoe, and a decent bench. That's not a terrible alternative to the Spurs if he's not sold on them as a long-term contender or with Duncan(or him) at center.
Morey is a genius. With the Parsons contract we would never be where we are now. Gotta keep faith in him. I'm going out on limb and say it'll be down to Rockets and other team for LMA services. If it comes down to it he chooses the Harden/Howard destination.
Said it before and will say it again, the END game is Kevin Durant. James Harden is the best weapon to draw Kevin to Houston(Not sure if he will come, but the Rockets will try)! And based on how the cap is set to unfold for the 2016, 2017 seasons...Houston is in prime position to really be major players for Durant's services. That being said, its going to be very interesting how Howard may be used in all of this. If LMA for some strange reason finds his way to Houston, the Rockets may have to figure out what to do with Dwight. If the Rockets, as expected, do not land LMA...the Rockets have adequate flexibility to sign their own dudes...And prep themselves midseason to create max cap space for the summer of 2016. While other teams are left scratching their collective behinds, Morey is extremely fortunate to have two elite level players with the chance to add a 3rd.
What's funny is that mainstream REFUSES to acknowledge the Rockets at all. You know, the team that went to the WFC......So Tyson Chandler is better than Dwight David Aldridge?? GTFOH lolol
Hmm. I wonder if Toronto will part ways with Lowry if LMA gives them a chance? They have to be over the cap now right?
Rolo is so lucky to have such a good friend. Lma will getvhim a 5 year max contract. Wait and see. At this point i will be ok if the bucks leave the offseason with koufos in a normal contract.

What has killed free agency the past few years has been Lebron holding up free agency for 3+ days. Some smaller deals (Kyle Singler types) would have gotten done today but not way teams would have spent like they did today if Lebron was truly on the market or was leading the perception he was on the market. A Melo or LMA can hold up about 4 or 5 teams (usually the Rockets are one of them), but they can't hold up the entire league like Lebron can with so many subsequent moves waiting on him. Compared to other FA years, those are like watching Atonement while this year is like watching Transformers.
Need a PG?

So this is kind of what the Celtics are looking at right now.
