Duncan is 39 years old. I personally think he could play three more years, but no one would be surprised if his body started finally falling off. Hell, two years ago Kobe was still the dominant SG in the NBA. Nash was a 12/11 player in 31mpg the year before he signed with the Lakers. Age is a b****. Duncan two years from now will not be the Duncan of last year.

Dirk has fallen off pretty bad too. No lateral movement anymore....

Spurs pull this off, the just vaulted to #1 in the League... Because Aldridge will punish GS small ball on the blocks. We have zero on our team that can do that consistently.

Yeah. Recall Morey did the exact same thing before Howard/Bosh FA. One worked, the other didn't.

Remember also that Duncan will have to play center full-time. That'll take more of a toll on his 39 year old body. The Spurs will probably be great next season, but they're really rolling the dice on everyone staying healthy and maintaining their level of play.

They will have the room MLE and veteran's minimum to offer to someone like Dalembert, Amare, Kendrick Perkins, etc. They'll be able to manage Duncan's regular season minutes without a problem. Then in the playoffs they'll ramp up with Duncan at the 5 for big minutes and dominate.

Can't help but feel the rockets made a strong impression on Lamarcus, things are too quiet...

Because Bosh changed his mind. What would change LMA's mind to come to Houston when the meeting has already happened?

The Rockets have really cracked down on ANY information coming out.
You saw it in the draft, no one knew who the Rockets pick was.

I wouldn't make anything out of it one way or another. Aldridge had a pretty good idea of what he wanted to do prior to these meetings.

I feel the opposite. Someone would have reported something, anything.

But this is how it felt right before Dwight signed, remember it was pretty out of the blue...

How come we have heard nothing about the Rockets meeting with LA, but we did about meeting Lakers and Spurs currently.
Either way, if he goes to SA I don't know how they get much better. Pop will get the best out of him, but Manu,Tim,and Parker are going down instead of up. They don't scare me.

I think they have to roll the dice though, since Manu and Duncan are probably going to retire after this season (I know that's predicted a lot, but I think this was probably a grand plan for a few years). Duncan can suck it up for one last season for a shot to get another ring, then the Spurs can build around Aldridge, Leonard, and Parker.

Bosh did not change mind, he never made mind before Heats offered him a max deal.

Because the media has to push the narrative that they want. Nobody but Houston (and possibly LMA himself) wants LMA in Houston. They want no chatter of LMA to Houston actually being a possibility, because if they don't report it, it can't be happening right?

    Don't forget Parker's 33 years old and a PG.

Exactly! Lamarcus to houston is every other teams nightmare, and it's quite obvious that houston would be hands down the team to beat if lamarcus signs... The Spurs splitter trade might have been just one last desperate attempt to sway Aldrigde but let's be real here... Lamarcus is coming to Houston!!!:cool::eek::eek:

Yeah, Green is more a part of the future than Parker IMO. Parker has 3 years left and I would be pretty surprised if he lasts past that. He has already played 14 years and another 2.5 years worth via playoff games.
