    Damn....

West will be put on notice. They could not try and play like **** for the whole regular season and I still wouldn't want to face that team in the Playoffs.

I posted that minutes before Carroll signed with Toronto. I thought they would lose Millsap to Orlando and resign Carroll.

I mean this is where having guys like Manu, Duncan and Parker pays off they all are willing to play less for their fair market value so other guys can get paid and they can keep winning. Its hard enough to find one of those type of franchise players let alone three of them. The Spurs are beyond fortunate but a lot probably has to speak with the culture those three were raised in. It was very different from the average upbringing and culture of a US born and raised star.

On one hand its not fair at all on the other hand I am sure if the Rockets had stars that did that I wouldnt care one bit what other teams said

Good deal by Atlanta and Spurs. Atlanta gets the C they need and Spurs get LMA. I'm not that worried though, prime LMA is a huge step down from Prime Duncan, he won't be able to carry the spurs the way TD did. Still, this is amazing news for the Spurs fans out there lol, a their roster on paper seems ridiculously good and can actually compete with GSW provided everyone is healthy. Parker Manu Kawhi LMA Haynes with TD from the bench is ridiculous.

Feels like the Hawks are just bailing out the Spurs here. Tiago Splitter is not a viable replacement for Millsap.

It's all from Duncan. Apparently from day one, Duncan told Pop to make him the whipping boy so that everyone else would fall in line when they saw the superstar being treated like everyone else. Switch Duncan with Lebron, Melo, Kobe, Dwight etc. and Popovich would have been fired and the Spurs wouldn't be a two decade dynasty.

Red Commie Bastards are at it again. Really the Spurs are lucky that their "stars" play for nothing and are loyal to the party, err... I mean system. Since they can't abolish wages, I fully expect them to be the first team where all 15 players on the roster make 5 million a year.

I'm actually glad the grizzlies don't have to face spliter anymore. While he is no Lamarcus Aldridge, he has skills in his own right that made the spurs paint defense one of the best in the league.

Hmm, well they retained Millsap, who should start versus Splitter.

So Horford is still technically a 5. :p

losing dcarroll hurt that team. if they had retained carroll AND signed spliter, they would have been a top 2 defense in the league next year.

The Spurs are a terrific franchise but.... you'd still have to live in that dirty ass city of San Antonio for most of the year.
