Well he is chasing the big fish, so he wouldn't not sign Love or LMA just for a chance at Durant. You can add a PG like Lawson or Llull, and sacrifice some of your other pieces (McDaniels, Bev, Brew) and still be in the hunt. Morey is not going to sign a bunch of mediocre guys just because though. He will bargain basement hunt instead(Perkins, Boozer, Stuckey, etc.)
You do realize that Wes tore his Achilles right? That's a career killer for NBA players. He may have one or two more decent seasons max, but he's not going to be an impact player going forward.
I'm as big of a parson's fan as there is that isn't a teenage school girl, but he can not initiate the offense an entire game. He's not that good. The mavericks will have no one that can break down a defense off the dribble.
Geez the Mavs are going to be tight to improve given their massive cap space they are giving up. Matthews is looking to get 14 to 16 mil a year. That gives them about 20 million before empty roster charges. They better hope Ray Felton and Devin Harris have HUGE years for them. They also better hope for some good discounted vet min signings. (also... I think DJ is staying in LA. I don't see why he'd want to leave that situation and make it work. )

Very strange we have not heard how our meeting with LMA went, for good or negative IMO we might be a dark horse to get him. While the Spurs are a top organization and could make a deep run next year with Duncan and Manu returning. A core of D12+Harden+LMA has a bigger window to win than a Parker+Kawhi+LMA
So what do you want Morey to do? How has it been a waste considering they were in the WCF just a few months ago? What CAN Morey do at this moment that will appease you? Trade for players that aren't on the market? This is an honest question.
Monta was huge for the Mavs though. Matthews is more of a complementary piece and he's coming off a very bad injury. Jordan is absolutely an upgrade over Tyson(except at the foul line), but again I have serious questions about that Mavs team just like I do with the Spurs should they get Aldridge. Who is the PG for Dallas? They have to replace Rondo. What about their bench? Aminu is gone. They have a lot of holes to fill on that roster even if they get Jordan and Matthews.
Whoa whoa whoa, I'm not bashing Morey because ultimately I don't think he is going to do what fans are advocating which is basically make all the moves around a Durant pursuit.
