Really? We don't even know what Matthews will look like next season. When is the soonest he could suit up again?
These contracts make the Ariza deal looks absolutely phenomenal. Especially because of the declining scale.
No one is saying he lied or is a Lakers "fantard", we're saying his LA sources are biased based on their employment and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt.
Guess the writing was on the wall if Lakers brass was flying out to meet Greg Monroe afterwards. Thank you for all of the information. It's a crazy business and it takes a special person to navigate all the constant changes. Glad you are that person.
to be fair amongst the 3 and D players in the league he is one of the better ones. demarre carroll just got 15 per year. new cap, new rules
I don't think he's specifically holding out for Durant as much as he's giving his team *cough* flexibility *cough* in the event something shakes out, much like the Josh Smith debacle in Detroit but on a grander scale. If/when that Toronto team implodes because they have a team full of sidekicks that's when Morey will come in and bring Lowry back home.
It's not punting if he resigns Brewer, Smith, and Terry and gets a PG. That's the core that got you to the WCF only healthier and deeper. Now if he lets some of those free agents walk in order to maintain "flexibility", THAT would be punting and I'd be very PO'd at him.
Mathews and Jordan would be very good gets... An improvement over an old T.Chandler, Jordan would be. Wes is a better player than Monta is. Can score like him, hits the three and defends well.
