He says he wants to win. The Rockets give him the best chance to win and it's not close. You're not sure how anyone could think we have a chance? You must have a very small imagination.

I'm probably a minority opinion here but I'd rather keep our guys, and upgrade the PG position. Add some depth and see what comes up next year. The cost to get LMA is too high and the gains would be minimal with what we'd have to give.

I'd rather focus on getting a PG since that was a huge hole for us last year.

This is insane. Aldridge is slim to none... but our chances of getting him are infinitely greater than landing Dragic. Aldridge can be obtained by getting rid of Ariza.. net GAIN. NO ONE is giving up Ariza to get Dragic. Thats a wash at BEST

As fans, we like to sit around and speculate on what a certain free agent is looking for. We are really good at thinking of all the reasons why he would want to come to our team and we think about how good we would be with him.

I'm sure if you went to a Lakers blog, or Spurs blog, or Suns blog, or Raptors blog, all of their fans would be saying the same thing. And they couldn't imagine any reason why LMA would possible choose to go to another team.

But the reality is that we don't know what is really important to these free agents. I'm sure there are a lot of factors that go into their free agency decision. Being on a good team with a good chance to win is probably one of those factors, but it is just that.

What about his suggestion of Bledsoe. This is something I can get on board with.

If he really wants to win a Champ next year, he should go to Cleveland.

Jesus christ....WHY do you turn this into your own personal thread? Try to say just one interesting thing per page rather than 8 worthless ones.

Are you so desperate for attention that you're intentionally provoking scorn from people by blatantly disregarding forum etiquette? If that's the case, you really should see a therapist....

    A small imagination?

    Haha.

The Rockets give him the best chance to win and it's not close? LMA on the Spurs would be very close. You could argue that the Spurs might even give him a higher chance to win. I don't think so, I think the Rockets are better, but it is definitely arguable.

Even if the Rockets did get LMA (which I haven't seen any indication of him leaning this way, which is why I don't think we have much of a chance) we would have a lot of questions to fill after we traded several of our pieces to create the necessary cap space for him.

Just to clarify... No way Dragic can be acquired without parting with Ariza in a sign and trade. Dragic is getting the max

OK. He is making 13 million. How do we get him without giving up Ariza? The only big time guy worth pursuing to give up Ariza is Aldridge. I wouldn't even go after Love for Ariza's sake. We can bring back our guys and upgrade PG and wait til trade deadline to see how things shake out.

He's definitely gonna request upwards of 15 mil. I think his max is 20 mil a year tho.

KPap, Jones, prigs and filler gets you the salary to trade for $13m. It's getting to $19m that gets hard and requires ariza

I agree with this. Ariza is so valuable to our team. Getting Dragic would be awesome, but if it cost us Ariza that would be a lateral move at best. Kevin Love's reputation took a hit last season, but he is still a great player. But his defensive deficiencies, combined with losing Ariza's defense, would just be too much IMO.
