No kidding. I have thought several times that I could clean up with my writing ability if I could bear the cognitive dissonance of spouting off bullsh!t that I know isn't true.
Aka why people should vote for the Democrat candidate for President for the next four or five elections...
God willing, by 2036 President George P. Bush will have a SCOTUS we can be proud of: Chief Justice Ted Cruz Associate Justice Sarah Palin Associate Justice Brian Kilmeade Associate Justice Steve Doocy Associate Justice Papa John Schnatter Associate Justice Scott Stapp Associate Justice John Galt Associate Justice MD6290 (CAT Rotary Blasthole Drill) Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg :/
That's your pipe dream. Ted Cruz is exactly the trumpet-blowing, self-promotional, clown show that won't be nominated by any president.
Barack has a better chance at Justice. (It's the deal he made with Hillary when he appointed her SoS).
For what it's worth, I've had a couple of Houstonians who've been friends with him since HS tell me that, whatever you think of him, it's not an act, he actually does believe what he says. I find that mind-boggling for someone who's as intelligent as he is.
Moderates are a dying to dead breed because of targeted election primaries with unlimited funding coming from non-local sources. Politicians are foremost about survival over ambition. Cruz playing to the base is a lot safer than being a moderate with long term ambitions. The option to loosen up on gays/immigrants/non-whites is more about risk/reward, so they're not going to "flip flop" unless they really do have a shot at the Presidency. Cruz's ego means that he really think he can be elected, now or in the future.

He graduated from Princeton, and then from Harvard Law School. You don't do that unless you have some intelligence. What people need to remember, particularly about Ted Cruz, is that you can be intelligent and still be bat**** crazy.
Hall-of-Fame debater, argued and won multiple cases before the Supreme Court. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/z3tgnGttpW4?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
