I don't doubt that Aldridge is an elite mid range shooter but not knowing the true value of the shots he takes means it could be like being the King and absolute ruler of a small island with no inhabitants - doesn't mean a lot. I'm not saying that's LA, I'm just saying that we need to know what the magic number is that determines whether a shot is going to be a good one or a bad one in terms of how likely you are to make it and how much it's worth if you do make it.

I wonder if we'll have our LA correspondent this year? The Dwight entourage follower was awesome. His updates were as fun as watching a game.

So in two years, halfway through Aldridge's next contract, the Lakers can be as good as his current team is now? So amazing! Where does he sign?

I don't even need to know how you're coming up with your rosy opinion of their future, since even best case scenario signing with the Lakers seems like a waste of two seasons.

If LA did get Aldridge, who says no to a Capela for Randle swap?

I don't think Capela is more than a Sam Dalembert type impact at C, but I just don't see Randle being more than TJones, so I think I pass if I am the Rockets. Is that crazy?

What is wrong with Capela being a Sam Dalembert type of player?

Kobe won't be running things in 2016.

Ok, did not know that. I don't think Capela will turn into that. He looks like a player who wants to play.

What do you mean? They have max money for LMA. Then, in 2016, 25 million comes off the books bc of Kobe...and the lakers, with the increase in salary cap, will have money for two max free agents.

What do you think we will have to give up to get LMA?

i'm asking why/how you think the fakers are going to sign LMA next week over SAS/DAL/HOU/POR/TOR/ETC

aside from the fact that he has zero chance of being a contender with them this season, keep this in mind: LMA and dwight (and josh) all go way back together from their HS days, especially from the 2004 mcdonald's all-star game. so without a doubt LMA has heard firsthand what a pain in the ass it is to be around koby for an entire season.

All players want to get paid, then have a good life, and then win. Maybe his priority is to live in LA...

Aldridge doesn't need a ring, he is not Lebron or Kobe.

With a ring, he's just ok. Without a ring, he's just ok.

    Meh, who cares about LMA.
