    Wow.....I didn't give up on them until the last out of the last inning. Too bad they didn't have a competent 4th starter in that series. Oh, wait....

    Nice details regarding Clemens. I'd forgotten the exact circumstances regarding his health.


    Add Lidge to the long list of Houston athletes that f***d us, then played better elsewhere. It may've only been for 1 or 2 seasons, but a championship was won.

    Man, poor Brad Lidge. The guy was nearly unhittable for two full seasons and it doesn't seem to matter.

    There are no playoff games to lose without Lidge's Herculean regular season efforts out of the pen in '04 and '05. Not to mention a fairly incredible postseason run, too - with obvious exceptions.

    Exactly... its almost why I sometimes rank him above Wagner (who never had to face that sort of stretch drive "pressure" along with saving several playoff games while he was with the Astros... of course, not totally his fault).
