This kinda reminded me about a thread to trade Howard for Davis.

I said no then. I will say no to this trade again. Why would we want to trade current for future? Especially when the future is just based on potential.

Timberwolves would become immediate contenders... We become the immediate 1st pick of the draft for the next 3 years....

I wouldn't mind trading Howard since he's on the decline but I'm not trading the guy who should've won MVP and is still young for anything.

Yea but he passes to the wrong team more too often:rolleyes:

He had a superstar regular season, so nobody can take that away from him. But Harden's mental focus & effort seem to come and go in the playoffs. To me that should be a little troublesome coming from your star player. If the opportunity came, Wiggins for Harden would be a risk worth taking

You are right since he is done improving. We know definitively that once players hit 25 they are who they are.

The harden haters/doubters/whatever will never let him live down that 13 turnover game when in reality it's an extreme outlier and Hardens turnover rate is similar to lebrons which is absolutely fine

Some posters on here act like they value draft picks more than championships.

Lol, those posters should just go post on the 76ers board.... I'm sure the 76ers will find a way to get another top pick..

OK guys, new proposal, how about Durant and LeBron for .... Oh right...that's not how this works. Lol, some of these threads in the offseason are silly, maybe instead some thread starters trolling here should just stick to managing their NBA team on 2k. Or maybe there could be a buddy system or some kind of test if its forum appropriate before clicking submit.

Every superstar had some bad games during the playoffs, including LeBron and Curry. It happens, nothing to worry about. Bad performances are more amplified, simply because every game in the playoffs is crucial.

Harden took a non playoff team during his first year in Houston and got them into the playoffs. This team has improved every year since and so has Harden. Harden has only been the #1 option for 3 years and he is only 25 years young. No reason to believe that he can't still improve.

If you think Harden had a superstar regular season, well then he pretty much had superstar playoffs. Statistically, his playoff stats are pretty much identical to his regular season stats. His FG% at 44% same as regular season. Improved his 3FG% compared to his regular season % and improved his FT% compared to the regular season and got to the line 10 times per game. Rebounding was the same as during the regular season, he assisted more than he did in the regular season. Granted, his TOs increased slightly.

I think the 12 TO game is what a lot of people are hung up on. This was an outlier and sure it was unfortunate that the season ended on a bad note, but what is done is done.

When you have the ball in your hands a lot, when you have to dribble a lot to create good looks for yourself and you keep attacking the basket relentlessly, like Harden does, TOs will happen. It is not very accurate to say that he keeps passing the ball to the wrong team often - sure in game 5 of the WCF that happened a few times, but generally most of his TOs happen when he attacks the basket in traffic.

Harden's playoff stats were nearly identical to his regular season stats. Look it up. He had a terrible last game. It doesn't mean he had a bad playoff overall.

Hell, f-ing no. Now, I might trade Towns for Dwight for Towns salary, but no way on Harden. With Harden, Towns and an extra $19M in cap room and the rest of the team coming back, then it might make sense because you could essentially get LMA and Towns for the cost of Howard.
