Ok, I believe you know. I just don't believe they will get anything to put them over the top if LMA leaves.
Houston, at best, has just as much chance as Dallas….and neither really have a "shot". Spurs or Lakers for LMA.
So you are trying to lure him to your team by saying "come here and change positions to make an awkward fit work!" I'm not sure that's the winning pitch. The Spurs and Rockets would both have better pitches than that if they wanted him and I'd imagine the Lakers would even have something better than that. I just can't see anyone picking the Mavs over those 3 given the circumstances.
No, LMA plays the 4 majority of the game…maybe 10 minutes at C, max. And when it's small ball, LMA would be paired up against another PF sized player anyways, so it's not like it matters. Rockets would be a great situation…people keep forgetting we have no cap space unless we make really drastic changes. It's very difficult to have 3 max players on one team…unless you literally want to surround them with ****.
He can play center he just doenst want to. He hates it. Ofc he has in spot minutes and im sure against small ball when he wont have to bang in the post he will be ok with it.
Lakers are worst than Dallas. Please just stop with setting aside the Rockets. We really do not know how this situation will turn out. Morey is a GM that can work magic. It will be Rockets or Spurs, LMA I am sure wants to win. Dallas and the Lakers do not give him that.
The Rockets could throw expiring contracts and non-guaranteed contracts at Portland along with Ariza and a couple picks and a sign and trade is done. IT really wouldn't be that difficult. In fact, you could do that and still bring back Beverley.
Yes, we could do that…go through the scenario and see what we would have to give up. Like I mentioned, we'd be gutting our entire team to make it happen. It would take Ariza and at least DMo along with other players. Blazers have stated they don't want to take on cap space. So filling LMA's void with extra cap money doesn't really do them any good. In other words, they aren't very interested in a sign and trade.
Lol what? The new CBA makes it more difficult to have 3 max contract deals on a team…it was because of the Heat that these changes were made. Yes, it can happen…but it's not likely.
I'm not actually a really big fan of the idea if I'm honest, I was just saying that it could be done if the Rockets wanted to go that route and was suggesting that LMA would be more interested in that than going to the Mavs. Personally, I'd rather stick with DMo at PF and try to upgrade the PG spot trying to talk someone into a similar package to the one I suggested for LMA. I think someone like Kyle Lowry for example would do more to improve the team than going with LMA. Either way, I think at this point Morey has earned the benefit of the doubt, so I'll give whatever he does a chance before being overly critical.
LMA can corner the Blazers by telling them he wants to come to the Rockets. The only way we can get him is through a SnT. The blazers will have to comply with anything Morey sends their way.
LOL what are you talking about? The Blazers don't have to do ****. They'll let him walk…LMA has ZERO leverage.
I would be okay with Lowry. I could roll with DMO at PF. There is the uncertainty of DMO in the playoffs.
Exactly. It will take more assets than a normal s+t for a disgruntled star whos about to leave for nothing because the blazers want to sign young free agents. My guess it will take ariza dmo and kpap and capella.
