If we strike out on LMA, love, and milsap then I guess green will do.

Daryl looking to drive up the price? :p

On second thought, I don't think they're going to tie up or hold up their cap space for 3 days for an offer GS is going to match.

There may (or may not) be smoke to a Chris Paul/DeAndre Jordan "feud".
Feud may be a little strong.

    And maybe a bigger role.

Bledsoe would be a helluva good pickup. The Suns will absolutely have to trade him if they ink Knight to that deal. They can't have 25-30 mil tied up in 2 point guards through 2019. Unless of course they plan on going really small in their backcourt which didn't exactly work out for them last season.

The question is would the Rockets have what it takes to pull off a deal. I don't think it's worth giving up D-Mo, and I don't think T-Jones would be enough as the centerpiece of that trade.

We are going to strike out on Love and milsap. LMA is a real possibility in my opinion.

The Suns wants much more than what we can offer

Why would that be if they sign Knight to a big contract? They probably want to dump Bledsoe.

We need toughness, not dirty players. Dwight sometimes confuses the two which got him in trouble in the playoffs.

Anyway, we're not getting Draymond Green. He'll get a max offer from someone which will be close to 16 mil/yr. Considering we have to do a sign-and-trade to get Aldridge who will make around 19 mil/yr, we'd presumably have to do the same with Green and I don't see the Warriors doing us any favors with that.

Make a play for Aldridge. If that doesn't work out, then get a damn PG and go to war with last year's roster and this summer's additions.

Well, some players are clearly dirty. Bruce Bowen for example. He was a terrific defender, but sticking your foot under a jump shooter to intentionally injure him is a dirty play. And as Rockets fans, I don't think I even need to explain why Stockton and Malone were dirty.

I don't think Dwight is a dirty player, but he occasionally let his emotions get the better of him and committed some hard fouls and smacked guys in retaliation for previous hits. Maybe immature is a better word to describe it.

You DO realize that Ariza's contract is front loaded right? Tack on the fact that his salary would be the equivalent of MLE money once the salary cap skyrockets.

You're getting a very good player for what would be peanuts. If I were Portland why WOULDN'T I take/ask for Ariza?

My stance is changed on that. Ariza would be an ok fit. The only part that I don't get is his age, he will be 30 at the start of next season. Why would you want to bring a player who is 30 on a rebuilding team? The only reason in my mind would be for leadership, but do you need leadership on a rebuilding team?

Been seeing that Rockets and Hawks have interest in Draymond Green. I understand the Rockets interest, but why the Hawks? Is there something going on with Millsap?

He wouldn't be part of their rebuilding effort. He'd be an asset they'd trade to a contender before the trade deadline next February for other players or picks who will help them rebuild. Kinda like when the Blazers started rebuilding in the mid-90's and took OT in exchange for Clyde who they then trade to Detroit the following summer.

This brings up an interesting discussion topic which hasn't really been considered yet. Suppose we strike out on the other big names, but Jordan is ready and willing to come here?

Jordan is nearing star level impact these past two years, and passing up on him seems like a huge mistake, despite the obvious fit issues. Plus he is only 26 years old and picking him up cripples a conference rival.

I don't get the Jordan rumors. Don't we already have a center?

Then what should we do with Howard? I don't want to throw Howard away like garbage, he has really has come to love Houston.
