I just don't see Aldridge going to a rebuilding team AND having to play center the majority of the time.

Lakers could have gotten DMC. Russell, randle, clarkson, black and some picks. Lakers said no.

One positive about Aldridge and Houston, we have Howard.

Howard would be a big luxury for Aldridge who prefers to play PF and stay away from to much of the dirty work of being a center.

Mavs have Dirk, which would force Aldridge to play the big man, Lakers have Randle and no center, Spurs have Duncan who plays center but isn't much of a bruiser, plus they would have to trade Splitter their only other legit center just to create space.

We have Howard (and even Capela), So Aldridge will never have to play C and can focus on his perimeter game and stretching the floor.

Well it's because lala land means imaginations land, or fantasy land.

It means Los Angeles too, but in the context it doesn't make sense.

Aldridge to Los Angeles seems more and more to go far west to Los Angeles?

Aldridge to Los Angeles seems more and more to go far west to being just a fantasy?

Cyber can you clear this up? Thanks!

Also if true that Lakers turned down Cousins, I feel they missed out big time.

Clarkson and Black are nobodies who put up decent stats on a bad team. Randle is unproven and coming off of surgery, Russell is unproven and the chances of him or Randle every reaching Cousins level is unlikely.

Thank you cyber. Dont they want him or is that they are exoect:)nprice to drop to just randle...
but now what with randle. He cant play sf. The lakers are aiming for two stars pf. They dont have a center. Are they going to get biyombo? Thanx again.

Its obvious that the lakers are at the epicentre of most major moves this summer. Who they go after will determine what is left over for the rest of the teams. Ofc they cant get gasol kawhi or probably jimmy but other than that..

"los Angeles to LMA, seems too far west for lala land"

That's what I was thinking, if it included.some typos...meaning, its too far west for him out there in lala land.

If Aldridge wants to leverage a sign and trade to a capped out contender of his choice, then the Lakers are vital to putting the fear of God in the Trailblazers to make it happen.

Like I completely believe in cybrex but he has literally said something outlandish like this about la with every fa lol ...it never comes true

Las plan and what la does are not the same thing. If Morey can make it happen Aldridge would choose houston over la and there is no doubt in my mind 0%

No tax so more money, it's closer to home, pretty much guaranteed championship as opposed to a rebuild with la

La with Aldridge isnt even as good as Portland last year

    Depends.

Don't forget Carmelo almost went to LA last year, OVER the Rockets.
If Kobe has committed to the Lakers and potential free agents that this really is his last season, that opens up even more money.
You sell Aldridge on having 2 young players already under contract in Russell etc. However, more importantly you sell players like LMA on the likely addition of 1 or possibly 2 max free agents.
LA is the top destination in pro sports because of media, and the Lakers have the added draw of a great franchise history.
    Not really that far fetched.

Man, please don't let the Lakers get LMA. They always get the good stuff.

Dwight would have to pay the Rockets in order to play for them, if they were to give max contracts to both Aldridge and Durant

It's easy to be the best GM in the NBA when your core for the last decade has been Tony Parker, Manu Ginobli and Tim Duncan with Pops as coach. Tim is very very close to retirement as is Ginobli with Parker not that far behind them. It has been said several times that Pops will step down with Duncan. We will see how good Buford is after that.

Don't see Lamarcus to LA under almost any circumstance. Money doesn't make sense, he didn't grow up there, and they still wouldn't make the playoffs. Russell/Clarkson/etc MIGHT be an attractive group to join in a few years, but no star vet will go there thinking they're going to win immediately.

Don't doubt cyberx heard something, but Houston and SAS have a much better chance IMO.

There is no way KD doesn't come to Houston imo. It just makes to much since.
