Why would Correa get that call over Altuve. Man Ashby is bad. Why can we not have Blum do home games?
look at the way we've lost the recent games, altuve double that should have brought in an extra run but goes over the fence, qualls, qualls, harris gives up homer, pitcher melt down. five game winning streak coming soon.
Heard them tie the game on the radio today. Larry Dierker was in for Steve Sparks.... he talked a little too much, though, but he was alright.
on the slide on altuve, it's in the game, yo. but back in my day the rocket would check if your batter's hat fit properly after you attempted that on the good guys.
I could care less about the slide Two issues Is there a vicinity rule, or not? If you lose the ball on transfer, isn't the force play out?

Whoah! From todays actions? Seems kind of harsh, unless Feldman is coming back. I would figure VV going back down or even one of our bullpen arms.
Vicinity rule was never in rulebook, but is called sporadically at whim of umpire when deemed a safety issue...like a cop not giving a hottie a speeding ticket. Rules don't allow for replay by batting team when runner called out on a neighborhood play.
Not trying to argue with everything you say man But it isn't called sporadically Umpires use it exclusively when making calls at 2nd base So it's horse crap for umps to call it that way and then replay umps to not

Every pitcher gets shelled at some point in their career. It says a lot about their makeup in the way they respond to it. Oberholtzer gave up on the game, and isn't a valuable enough player to be worth being a total prick.
Bold part is only relevant part. Hinch should have been blunt and said as much. Keuchel ain't getting shipped to AAA if he does that.
So from now on whenever an in the vacinity call is made against us we should challenge and get the call. Right?
Replay umps aren't allowed to review close plays at second for hitting (maybe both teams) team. It is safe by rulebook if bag not touched. Umps should make calls according to rulebook. Rulebook should be changed if that call is suppose to be an out.
Yeah, I understand everybody has a bad outing but to send him down if it was because of today, seems radical. I would be upset if I was Obie too. The ump was squeezing today and of course he couldve handled it better, but the team has to have his back even if he was out of line. Disciplinary action is in order but not sending him back down. I dont know about you but IMO, hes pitched pretty damn well this year and definitely deserves his spot in the rotation.
