He will be better than Jordan ...his skill set is light years ahead of all three of those guys actually. But only if he works and wants it,he has the tools to be special....I actually like this pick better than Dekker and our 32nd pic. Good find.
I honestly think this is the evolution of the PF position in the NBA. Tall, agile, athletic and skilled Pfs with inside and out games. There will be no more, if but few, big bruiser atc that position. The European bigs were the first to show us this but American players are now showing that skill plus more....I like the evolution of the PF in the NBA...Think Draymond Green.
This kid might actually have the highest upside of any player we drafted. It's all about how hard he's willing to work. Getting a 1st round talent for free is just par for the course; another smart move by Morey
If he didn't give off that vibe, he would have been drafted. The hope is that if he matures, he does it for your team and not after you cut him. Maturity means taking the small stuff seriously that helps the team win games versus just being a stats machine.
I watched Deandre when I was at A&M and I watched Christian when I was at UNLV. Having seen them both play quite a bit in person, I can promise you that he and Deandre and not remotely the same. Deandre is MUCH more physical, and Christian really doesn't have the body type to likely ever match that physicality no matter how much time he puts into the gym. The base just isn't there. Having said that, he has an infinitely better shooting touch than Deandre will ever have. They are just two very different types of players. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but these guys are truly apples to oranges in terms of their skill sets.
Something along the lines of. "Good, I'ma take this (not getting drafted) experience and use it against every one of these motherfunkers. Nobody will stand in my way. #motivated." Something like that Edit: found it
Sam Dekker was getting a lot of Kevin Durant comparisons, I think he has the highest upside but once wood gets it together he can be impressive

Uhm NO. I wouldn't want to see these guys get run out of the gym by the tough western conference. Glad we're a contender. These guys will take a while to develop...not sure why fans are so eager to see young cats that haven't proven a damn thing go out there and fail. Let them develop and hopefully they are rotational players down the road.
