    I guess the Mavs are desperately trying to convince themselves that Parsons did indeed deserve that salary. He is definitely an excellent role player but in no way should they be looking for players to fit into his style lol. He is just a very good role player who compliments your stats very well. Good luck Dallas, I definitely don't mind then waiving the white flag now.

    This seems so obvious, and I don't think the Dallas FO is full of dummies.

    But even if it's a deception I don't see what they hope to gain by saying things about Chandler like that. Free agents know what's up with Parsons so is it somehow attractive to them to hear of an expanded Parsons' role, after his major knee work no less?

    It just makes no sense. Maybe some of the female Dallas fans will buy more tickets if they think Parsons has a greater role? I just don't get the motivation on the Mavs' part.

    I dont think Carlisle is going to hang around for much longer if Dallas is going to build the team around some person.

    I think you're right. Carlisle not the easiest person in the world to get along with and 8 years in one place is an eternity. It's about time for him to move on.

    But Cuban knows he's a great coach and won't let go easily.

    Well if they can somehow get LMA, it's not funny anymore.

    1) They ain't getting LMA

    2) The phrase "building around Parsons" is funny regardless of who's on the roster.

    It's still kinda funny. LMA will not be enough for that team.

    Anytime you can make a subpar ball handler with injury history your primary playmaker, you have to do it.

    @BrettNBA
    NFL star Dez Bryant and Chandler Parsons are expected to have a role in the Mavs free agency pitch to DeAndre Jordan, a source said.

    Parsons is a very nice player. Just not as good as he thinks he is... Hopefully he doesn't fool other players to think he's all-star material. Don't like Aldridge or DJ but I'd hate for them to rot in Dallas with Parsons. DJ should head to the east with the Bucks and LMA should go to the Spurs. Not Dallas. There's nothing extraordinary in Dallas anymore. Sorry Dirk.
