Doc is not legit again. Bummer. I guess we will have to wait until he is right again for people to believe him.
I thought Cyberx made the "Chance Dwight comes to Houston Growing" thread first. But yea Doc has missed on a lot lately but he's pretty obviously in the loop.
Whenever Doc Rocket is going to say LMA is going to join the Rockets in his next post, then I would say "Yes".
Doc likely would have been right on Christmas in round 2 if Harrel hadn't dropped out of the first round. He just reports what he is hearing. People change their mind plenty in business, life, and the NBA. I appreciate his insight and just wish people would see it as insight on possibilities versus Gospel. The same thing can be said about Cyberx or any other myriad of people who post here with the tidbits on info they can share. If you are going to get peeved about something, then be peeved at all of the almost moves that Morey drops in press conferences. Saying things like that takes away from the players you drafted. Focus on celebrating them and their potential contributions. We all know you are working the phones Morey, we don't need you to keep reminding us of that.
I'm not peeved or angry at the guy, I'm sure he does his best - it's just apparent to me at least that these DR posts don't seem to ring as eerily true as they did 10 years ago. Maybe it's just probability. I kind of stopped believing though that one time when he said we'd all be VERY HAPPY on draft night and we ended up with Marcus Morris.
Of course it's probability and also there are more smart people in the NBA today all going after the same moves.
So everyone here realizes that teams plans change significantly during the draft based on who is there and who isn't right? So Doc could have had insider info that the rockets really liked Christmas at 32, but that was before Harrell was there (who some projected to have a value around 16 or 17). So plans change. No one bats a thousand when it comes to the draft. Cut the dude some slack.
