    I would be curious to know the sales figures for Walmarts in "rural" areas versus Walmarts in "urban/suburban" areas.

    The Jeff Jackson quoted in this article is my brother. He fought hard to get it stopped from being built.

    I live in northeast DC and there's a new Wal-mart almost ready to open in my neighborhood. Personally, I have nothing against it. There are very few shopping options near my house. I have to drive to MD for groceries.

    Can't beat the prices and it will create a lot of jobs, even if they're notorious for treating their employees poorly. $hit job is better than no job.
