If we can get Christmas at 32, I would be very happy. He's one of those guys that can contribute right away and he can make a jumpshot.

That would be a dream, but no chance it happens. But with rough math (not sure about hard cap implications for LAC) this (without trading Ariza) would work...

    Portland Out: Aldridge (~$19M)
Portland In: Dmo, Capela, TJones, Papa & Prig contracts, 2015 #18 pick, future LAC 1st rounder (~$14M and only $7.3M guaranteed)

LAC Out: DeAndre Jordan, Future 1st round pick (~$19M)
    LAC In: Dwight Howard ($22.36M)

Houston Out: Howard, Motiejunas, Capela, TJones, Papa & Prig contracts, 2015 #18 pick (after the selection) (~$34.97M)
Houston In: LaMarcus Aldridge & DeAndre Jordan (~$38M)

Still could resign Brewer (~$5.5M), Beverly (~$6.7M), and Smith (~$2.5M) and use the full MLE on LLull ($5.5M). Would still have Dorsey, Johnson and #32 pick and even with the 12th roster charge, we would still have room for a minimum salary under the apron/hard cap.

I just wasted a lot of thought/time on a pipe dream. Oh well.

    PG: Beverley/Llull (Llull/Beverley, Johnson)
    SG: Harden (Brewer, Johnson)
    SF: Ariza (Brewer, Min Salary/#32)
    PF: Aldridge (Smith, Min Salary/#32)
    C: Jordan (Dorsey, Min Salary/#32)

And still have some cap room (if we want it) in 2016 when the cap jumps to $89M. But really, you could just give Smith the MLE, sign someone with the BAE, and still end up with something like $10M in cap room in 2017. Of course $10M in cap room in 2017 is essentially going to be like the MLE now.

I looked at his stats again and he can't make a jumpshot, but he seems to have decent touch.

That's kind of revisionist. Cyber was pushing Dwight going back to LA pretty hard.

Nobody can be right 100% of the time.

How could the Clippers trade an UFA in Jordan?

The No PG tweet could mean we are already set on PG...meaning Lull.

I've been thinking for a long time that Doc Rocket is a woman. No sarcasm or woman hate, I just don't think it's a man writing those tweets. Just an opinion.

No, Doc was all over Dwight to Howard the entire tome. Cyber indicated it was a possibility and provided many verified points along the way, but was always more inclined to think Dwight was staying in LA.

Go back to June 12th 2013 on his twitter feed. Doc Rocket was calling Dwight to Houston all the way up to when he announced he would sign.
