If Marisnick doesn't get it together somewhat at the plate, I could see Kemp taking his job next year.

I wouldn't either, but that is who a team would ask for.

Tony Kemp & Mark Appel will represent the Astros at the Futures Game.

That's cool, but would have liked to see the Maverick.

Seems pretty limited for a farm system as stacked as this (with Appel not having a great season, despite his stature)... guess they have to spread it around.

I still can't believe how DUMB that whole ordeal was, and even DUMBER that the manager helped spur some of the vitriol.

Hell, Kyle Tucker just got to participate in BP at MMP the other day... and I'm sure Bregman and Cameron (once he signs) will do the same.

Does anybody ever complain about letting these young kids on to the HALLOWED ground of the MLB team's park?

Apparently only players that talk to Evan Drellich.

...and reporters that cover the Astros named Evan Drellich.

Bregmann going to Quad Cities as some predicted. Others thought he would start in Tri-City. Should be exciting to follow him through the minors. Sounds like a baseball junkie.

I'm surprised a little, but glad.

He had pretty good numbers, but I know nothing about him. Good to see us get something for somebody we probably weren't going to ever call up.

Tri-City just finished off a 1-hitter as they won 6-0 against Staten Island.

David Paulino walked 2 and struck out 6 in 4.1 innings, Zach Davis got the last 2 outs of the 5th, Trent Thornton allowed the only hit and struck out 4 in 3 innings, and Juan Carlos Santos walked 2 and struck out 1 in the 9th.

Jon Singleton just whacked his 16th home run of the season for Fresno. It was a 2-run shot off of Matt Cain that tied the game at 2 in the 4th.

Bring up Singleton and send down Santana. Carter can play vs lefties, Spliffington vs RHP.

Why would you do that? Why wouldn't Santana be your OF off the bench against LHP? The opposite Tucker/Rasmus?

keith law is such an *******. Always taking digs at the Astros any chance he gets. This was an excerpt from an article he wrote on bspn- MLB Futures: Prospects to watch, glaring omissions and more.
