so much rumors flying around at the end of the day Rockets draft Dekker at #18 and Christmas at #32 no trade end of story

Lakers continue to talk w/ Kings about Cousins but doubtful any deal would be made today. When was the last time the Rockets did what you expected them to do in the draft? Mine: Yao Ming, so it's been a while. Be prepared to be surprised!

Hear Houston is having lots of discussions, including moving up. Yes, they've talked to the #Twolves. They like Rubio. the rockets haven't made any significant draft day moves since getting rid of lowry for a pick and trading away Gay for Battier. I expect today to be much of the same.
Interesting, has this always been the case? I though it was always understood, but never explicitly part of the rules

At 2 p.m., NBA teams are no longer allowed to trade draft picks. Players must be picked tonight and then have their rights traded...
— Adam Himmelsbach (@AdamHimmelsbach) June 25, 2015

I think after the deadline, you have to draft for the team you're trading the pick to. That's probably why the pick always officially is listed as the trading team.
Im a little confused as to what to make of the flurry of rumor? NOt that it would shocking if MOrey really were pushing hard for LMA or Love, but Stein's tweet referred to both? Now TJ and picks are available? Clearing room for what exactly. Could stars sign here on 1 year deals waiting for the new cap and giving it an all in mentality knowing next year they would probably go their own ways?
Strange:

Jared Sullinger just followed the Hornets and is no longer following the Celtics.
