The Rockets can dream big but they don't have the cap space to sign a marquee FA like LMA. The only way the Rockets land a player worth anything is through a trade. Would Morey be willing to trade Howard? That's the only way something like this happens.
Or just waiting for them to make an official offer. Which will be easier to do once some of these other moves are made.
Honestly I wouldn't mind the riddles if his information had a better track record of panning out. Clearly things are often fluid so even accurate information can end up not panning out, but.....I don't remember the last time Doc's information, other than blatantly obvious things, ended up happening.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure more than half of what he's been wrong about are just stuff he made up to get attention vs claiming "i just say what i hear". I've been around here long enough tracking his posts and while it's "fun" i think a lot of people here just like being toyed with by DR.

A lot of mocks have Dekker in the 17-20 range, and I definitely see him as BPA in that area so it would be more of a surprise if we didn't take him at #18.
With all these rumors flying around, Do you guys think that Morey has the balls to trade Howard? The behind the scenes game with agents and management has always been fascinating to me. Can Dan Fegan really steer future players away from HOUSTON if he doesn't like the way Morey does business? The only way we get Love or LMA, or we renounce everybody and hope good players take the Vet Min. I highly doubt we trade Ariza, contract is too friendly esp. with the cap jumping plus he's a glue guy.
