This installation time is ridiculous for Xbox One. Hopefully it finishes overnight, I just want to play the damn game.
WB has suspended future sales of the PC version: https://community.wbgames.com/t5/Support-for-PC/June-24-Update-on-PC-Version-of-Arkham-Knight/m-p/575332#U575332
Yeah, that's a big admission that the game wasn't finished on PC. The exclusion of some the features like AO, Rain textures and lower texture details along with the 30fps lock make me think that they were last minute ditch efforts to get the game to run. I've been able to play at 4k maxed out with some stutters locked at 30 fps, and the game itself is pretty fun, but the frame drops down to 10-15fps and the textures not even loading sometimes, made me quit playing it, not to mention the missing features that the console have. Hopefully they can release it again after fixing it, but them suspending sales leads me to believe that it will be a while.
I'm still pretty early in the game, but I don't HATE the Batmoblie yet. It controls like a boat but it adds some interesting mechanics to the game. That Batmobile assist during combat is over powered tho
So I bought Grim Dawn during the latest Steam sale and I am having so much fun with it!!! Totally unexpected. Looks like Batman can wait.
Well, there was a 3.5GB patch so it actually installs twice. I'm about two hours in and love it so far, not sure about the gameplay complaints - especially about the Batmobile. Learn to use the Battlemode and power slides for better turning and more agile movement. Either way, most of the time for travel I fly. Use the Bathook and launch yourself high by spamming A on the way up (on Xbox), then fly wherever you need to go. It is awesome.
Unless the gameplay in the Metal Gear games has changed significantly since Snake Eater, then no. The Batman games play more like Assassin's Creed, except better in every way.
Don't be scared of the Assassin's Creed comparison. Assassin's Creed's action is absolutely pathetic compared to Batman's (or any any other game, for that matter). The only similarity between the two games is that you're fighting groups of enemies. Assassin's Creed is also so easy that it's virtually impossible to get killed in a fight. Batman is not like that at all. Assassin's Creed SUCKS!
Install time on PS4 was not too bad. I like the game so far. It looks and feels great. I could see how the batmobile could get annoying but fine with it so far.
Got it Saturday, wanted to wait until the weekend so I could play without interruption. Pretty much everything I wanted, it's awesome just like the first 2 Rocksteady games. I really like the Batmobile as a vehicle, once you get used to it it feels really good. The pursuit missions didn't bother me at all. It is OP, but I enjoy kicking ass so much i never use it. But the Batmobile as a tank is clearly the games biggest flaw. They incorperate it into too many of the puzzles. And the Tank Wars in the middle of Gotham is just a bad idea, nothing about it feels like a Batman game. That being said, it is still spectacular. The free flow combat never gets old.
Agree 100% with everything said. Also if you are a Batman fan and read his comics/know about the lore intimately, tank mode will not deaden the experience for you. Just being immerse in the story and seeing the easter eggs is a great experience. It has an 89 on meteoritic for a reason.
